Shrewsbury Senior Babe Ruth is getting ready for the 2026 season and we’re currently looking for local sponsors to support our team ⚾️

Our program provides a fun, competitive summer baseball experience for local players ranging from high school through college. As a volunteer-run team, sponsorships help cover important costs like uniforms, equipment, field usage, and umpires.

Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth Falls To PNJ - Tatnuck SR

Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth fell to PNJ - Tatnuck SR 10-5 on Sunday.

Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth got on the board in the first inning after Aidan Ghidella hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Mason Sebastyanski singled down the left field line, which helped PNJ - Tatnuck SR tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

PNJ - Tatnuck SR took the lead in the bottom of the second. N Koza hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, to give PNJ - Tatnuck SR the edge, 2-1.

Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third thanks to singles by Colin Yeaton, and Sam Bachini.

PNJ - Tatnuck SR took the lead in the bottom of the third. An error scored two runs, to give PNJ - Tatnuck SR the upper hand, 4-3.

PNJ - Tatnuck SR scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Michael O'Connell drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Dale Nussey singled, scoring one run, and Chris Kiesiner singled, scoring two runs.

Anthony Santiago opened the game for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. The hurler allowed six hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking none. Nussey stepped on the hill first for PNJ - Tatnuck SR. The hurler gave up 10 hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth tallied 10 hits in the game. Yeaton, Bachini, and Ghidella each collected two hits for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. Luke Harrington, Yeaton, Bachini, Ghidella, and Charlie Kent each drove in one run for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. Ghidella stole two bases.

PNJ - Tatnuck SR piled up 11 hits in the game. Kiesiner provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led PNJ - Tatnuck SR with four runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Boris Valdez went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead PNJ - Tatnuck SR in hits. Sebastyanski and Nussey each collected multiple hits for PNJ - Tatnuck SR. Valdez, Mason Figueras, and Nussey each stole multiple bases for PNJ - Tatnuck SR. PNJ - Tatnuck SR stole 10 bases in the game. PNJ - Tatnuck SR turned one double play in the game.

Big Second Inning Leads PNJ Sturbridge Past Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth

PNJ Sturbridge scored six runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth 10-3 on Saturday at 600 Hamilton St.

A tag up by Ryan Wright put PNJ Sturbridge on the board in the top of the first.

Colin Yeaton doubled down the left field line on an 0-2 count, which helped Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

PNJ Sturbridge jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning after Joe Amaru doubled, Wright walked, Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth committed an error, Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth committed an error, Anthony Alarie walked, and Grady Green walked, each scoring one run.

An error extended the PNJ Sturbridge lead to 8-1 in the top of the third inning.

Amaru earned the win for PNJ Sturbridge. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two. Shawn Salt pitched three innings in relief for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. The lefty surrendered five hits and two runs while, striking out one and walking two. Jake Record started the game for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. The pitcher gave up five hits and seven runs (three earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four.

Luke Harrington, Yeaton, Sam Bachini, Benjie Rotunno, Dylan Fuller, and Theo Hendricks each collected one hit for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. Yeaton, Bachini, and Hendricks each drove in one run for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth. Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth turned one double play in the game.

PNJ Sturbridge collected 13 hits in the game. Amaru and Caden Green each collected three hits for PNJ Sturbridge. Alarie and Alex Croteau were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for PNJ Sturbridge. Green and Wright each collected multiple hits for PNJ Sturbridge. Landon Sommer led PNJ Sturbridge with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. PNJ Sturbridge didn't commit a single error in the field. Brandon Phillips had the most chances in the field with nine.

Playoffs are set. Sunday June 29th at 10:00 and 1:00 pm. Tatnuck will take on Shrewsbury in the first game and Vernon Hill will play Douglas in the second game. Both games will be played at Tivnan Field in Worcester.

Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth Victory Over PNJ - Tatnuck SR

It came down to the wire on Friday at 600 Hamilton St, as Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 3-2, over PNJ - Tatnuck SR. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Shawn Salt singled, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth pitchers struck out two, while PNJ - Tatnuck SR sat down two.

A single by Benjie Rotunno put Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth on the board in the bottom of the first.

PNJ - Tatnuck SR tied the game in the top of the seventh thanks to a ground out by Joe Tiramacco, and a walk by Sam Hebert.

Aidan Ghidella threw one inning of shutout ball for Shrewsbury PNJ Sr Babe Ruth in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out none and walking two.
