Action Shooting International

Action Shooting International Action Shooting International promotes a move and shoot sport where gun owners can practice in a safe and fun environment while building social connections

Here at Action Shooting International, LLC, we’re focused on giving you a chance to practice in a way that’s fun, and builds social connections with other gun owners. We’ve put together a series of simple, self-defense-oriented courses — along with a scoring system that promotes a relaxed, friendly attitude (like a bowling league). ASI shoots are competitions, but we’re more concerned about having

fun and learning something along the way than fighting for every point. Each shooting problem you’ll face (called a “stage”) focuses on a particular experience or skill — such as reloading, shooting around an obstacle, or shooting while moving. The challenges you face will be “doable” for average gun owners, and are particularly suited to people with concealed carry permits. The stages will repeat over the course of the year, giving you a chance to track your improvement.

More reloading supplies

Along with the smokeless powder from yesterday, we also got a random box full of primers. Most of the primers are from CCI (Cascade Cartridge Inc.)

Couldn’t find an exact list of package age on the Internet but assembled some information from the various reloading communities.

In the picture, the newest primers are on top. The green boxes on the bottom of the picture are from the 70’s. The red and white magnum rifle primers are from the mid 80’s (I remember selling CCI products as a teen with this color pattern). The red and beige packaging is from the 90’s and the large blue package is from the 2000’s.

The packaging size change was in response to shipping rule changes that required spacing between the primers. In the older packaging the primers are “in bulk” and touch each other.

Look at the pricing! .69 cents for 100. Primers now days are 6 to 8 bucks for 100 or more!

Successful RO class -- with surprises!
Renton Fish & Game club (in Renton, Washington) hosted a range officer course this weekend with ASI's head trainer, Mike Meisner. To everyone's surprise, Meisner brought ASI Co-Founder Robin Taylor in support! Here the two men smile at the camera during the live fire phase of the course. Additionally, ASI had the honor to train well-known fi****ms author Duane Thomas (with the camera, below). If you're interested in getting trained to be an ASI RO, send e-mail to [email protected] .
