Thursday night wrapped up the season at WIR. I qualified 10th, and got 4th in the second heat. I started towards the front of the feature but ended up finishing 8th. Overall, I was 7th in points for the season!

We traveled to Golden Sands Speedway today to try and get another win there! I started out the day with a really fast truck and took fast qualifying time! Then I came from the back of heat 2 and took 3rd! I started at the rear of the feature, and after being involved in a caution, I worked my way back to 3rd! Pretty good overall night, and it wrapped up our 2nd place in the touring series points! Congrats to Mason Calmes on the touring championship!

I want to give out a special thanks to my dad for putting in a ton of time throughout the season, and always trying to come up with new ideas to be faster. Next, I want to thank my uncle, Craig Voight, for always showing up to help at Kaukauna, being at all of the away races, and showing up to help in the shop! I also want to thank my mom and sister for being at every race and supporting me!

Thursday night recap at WIR. We had a full field on Thursday with 26 trucks, I started out the night qualifying 10th, then I started at the back of the 2nd out of 3 heats, and I made my way up to 2nd! I started 4th in the feature and after 20 green flag laps I came out in 8th place for the night! Overall not a bad night, but could've been better. We'll be back out again next week!

We had a good week! We started off rough at WIR with an underpowered motor, I qualified 15th and had to start in the back for the feature. We were able to get a new motor in the truck in time for the heat race! We found some good speed and finished 2nd in the heat! I had to start near the rear of the field for the feature, but quickly made my way to the top 5! After a long 20 laps I ended up 6th! Overall a good night, and we found some speed to build off of for next week!
We traveled up to Norway Speedway on Friday expecting a strong truck! We started out practice and qualifying slower than we thought, but we made some adjustments and won the heat race! I was able to start near the front of the feature, and find some more speed, but lost some position and ended up 5th on the night! Thanks to my crew for continuing to find speed in the truck!

We had an okay night on Thursday. We had pretty good speed all night, and we started the night off with a 7th place qualifying run! We started 2nd in the fast heat, and came out 3rd! After we made some adjustments to correct our handling issues, we started 7th in the feature, and brought home an 8th place finish! It could've been better, but we have some good notes for next week's double header! WIR on Thursday and Norway on Friday!

We had a successful weekend at Dells Raceway Park! We started off with a fast truck in practice, I was 2nd fastest! We still had to work some bugs out of the truck. I ended up qualifying 3rd! In the heat race I started 3rd and finished 3rd, but we still had handling issues. After finally getting our adjustments right for the feature, I was able to start in 2nd, and stay there finishing the night with a 2nd place finish! Congrats to Mason Calmes on the win!

After a not so great week last week, the Thrive To Drive team and Hank Calmes put in a lot of work on the truck! We came out with a completely different setup, just trying something new! After practice and qualifying we realized that it definitely worked, I was 2nd fast in practice, and ended up qualifying 5th! Unfortunately the night was cut short due to rain.
But the practice session gave us some great insight for next week!

Our night didn't go as planned. We fixed things in the shop from last week, and we didn't know what to expect. I came out 6th fast in practice, but qualified 11th. The truck had some issues and I was bouncing a lot. We tried to make some adjustments to help it, but we couldn't really find much to help it all night. I was in the second heat and finished 6th! Then I started on the pole for the feature and held position in 2nd for a while, but sadly fell back to 11th. We'll be back at WIR next Thursday trying again. Thanks to my crew for trying to make my truck faster all night! Congrats to Mason Calmes on the win!

Thursday night for the Rob Vandermoss Memorial Race was a crazy one! I started off strong with a 7th place qualifying run, which put me in the fast heat! I was able to lead a few laps, but ended up 5th in the heat! We started near the front for the feature, and quickly got shuffled back. After many cautions I was battling in the top ten, and got tangled with another truck, and I put it on my lid! I was able to continue but only managed to get 12th because my truck was damaged. Congrats to Brady Vander Loop on the win!
Slinger Super Speedway went a little better for us! We started off the day slower than we expected, but were able to turn things around! I qualified 7th, and I got 6th in the fast heat! After throwing a ton of adjustments at the truck, we were able to make it competitive for the feature! After many restarts I was shuffled from front to rear, but managed to make it back into the top 5! On the last restart with 7 to go I was in 4th but had nothing for the leaders, so I ended the night with a strong 4th place finish! Congrats to Kasey Vander Loop on the win!

Thursday, July 3, Les Stumpf Ford, Fox River Racing Club, Busch Light, Simon's Cheese, Y100, Gertrude's Ice Cream and Wisconsin International Raceway salute all members of the farming community.
