It's taken over 2 years of wonderful weekly lessons for Anders to get here - steering his own horse and not having any meltdown or shut down when Burdock doesn't do what he wants. (Burdock is a 27 year old OTTB who is a saint 😇🙏🏼💝🐴)
This last year we have worked specifically on him steering independently. My goal is to get him able to drive his own car when he gets of age.

Saturday lessons were awesome. I over did it in the heat and didn't drink enough fluids. ゚viralシfypシ゚Susie Reeder got her 1st trail ride in with Anders (so did Goldie!😜)

There are some movies you watch and then there are movies that become part of your childhood. For an entire generation of horse girls, Hayden Panettiere was Channing Walsh.
She was the girl standing beside a little zebra who had absolutely no business believing he belonged on a racetrack, but believed anyway.
And somehow, we believed with him.

Long before many of us knew her from Heroes, Nashville or Scream, we knew Hayden from Racing Stripes. We watched her gallop across the screen and dreamed of being that girl, the one with dirt on her boots, reins in her hands and an impossible horse beside her.
Today, the news feels especially heavy.
Hayden Panettiere has passed away at just 36 years old.

For the equestrian community, there is something incredibly nostalgic about remembering her this way. A young girl, a racetrack, an underdog and the belief that sometimes the ones nobody expects to make it are the ones worth believing in the most.
So tonight, maybe a few horse girls will pull up an old movie they haven’t watched in years.
Maybe they’ll remember sitting cross legged in front of the television wishing they could race Stripes too and maybe somewhere beyond all of this, there’s an endless stretch of green pasture waiting. Rest easy, Hayden. 🕊️
You helped make a generation of little horse girls dream a little bigger.

was gorgeous at the tonight. Puddin came through her little surgery at Auburn and will be back home tomorrow! 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

we had a lot of fun on Ashley's first day volunteer volunteering with me! She got to meet all the babies while feeding and then we worked on the labyrinth 🙏🏼🙌🏼💪🏼💯🤩
