The Lady Timberwolves season came to an end on Wednesday evening at the hands of eventual section champion Oneida, with S-E falling 33-12.

After falling behind in the early stages of the game, S-E put up a tough fight.

Emma Webb threw a first half touchdown pass to Abbie Green and Bella Whorrall connected with Kamri Peek on 4-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Timberwolves also had two touchdowns called back by penalties and two other drives stall out inside the Express’ 10-yard line.

Webb finished with 168 passing yards and Whorrall added 48.
Green caught 7 passes for 81 yards and Sadie Davis ended with 8 receptions for 57 yards.

Davis had a team-high 6 flag pulls, while Savanna Hook and Isabella Smith each had 5.

Despite the setback, it was a memorable season for S-E as they finish the season with Section III’s number one rated pass offense at 190.7 yards per game. They also completed 320 passes, 98 more than any other team in the section.

Webb who leads all of Section III with 240 pass completions, became just the third quarterback in Section III flag football to eclipse 2,000 yards in a season as she finished with 2,034 passing yards.

Green currently leads all New York State flag football players with 138 receptions on the season and 17 interceptions. If each mark holds up, she will become the New York State all-time record holder in both categories when the state determines official records this summer.

Davis and Kadyn Babcock each ended the season with 7 interceptions - tied for third most in the section - as S-E’s defense led the section in interceptions (33) and interceptions returned for touchdowns (7).

Green (138 catches for 1051 yards and Davis (80 catches for 790 yards) will each finish the season in the top 5 in both receiving categories. Their 218 combined receptions are the most ever by a pair of teammates.

Congrats and Thank You for an unforgettable season ladies!!!!

S-E WINS SECTIONAL OPENER 🏈💕

Abbie Green’s 29-yard punt return touchdown and a 9-yard touchdown toss from Emma Webb to Sadie Davis propelled S-E to a Section III playoff opening victory Friday night with S-E knocking off Syracuse OnTech, 12-0 in the quarterfinal matchup.

After S-E failed to convert on a few scoring chances in the first half,
Green got them on the board with 9:58 left in the third quarter as she caught the Grey Wolves punt on the run and raced down the left sideline to put S-E up 6-0.

Later in the quarter, with S-E facing a fourth down from the OnTech 9-yard line, Webb drifted to her right and threw a perfectly placed strike to the back right corner of the end zone and Davis hauled in the pass in stride to give S-E a 12-0 advantage.

Webb and Davis connected 9 times on the evening for 73 yards and the score.

Green extended her NYS reception record to 131 catches on the season as she caught 8 passes for 37 yards.

Webb finished the day completing 22 of 35 passes for 167 yards.

Olivia Parker had 40 yards (25 rushing yards, 15 receiving yards) on 10 touches, while Bella Whorrall had three catches for 33 yards.

Defensively, Davis and Green each had interceptions.

Sherburne-Earlville has recorded a Section III best 32 interceptions on the season, 7 more than Syracuse East.

It was Green’s 16th interception of the season (Section 3 record), while Davis tied teammate Kadyn Babcock for the second most interceptions on the season with her 7th.

Senior Savanna Hook led S-E with 9 flag pulls, while Parker added 7.

S-E will travel to take on #1 seed Oneida on Wednesday at 6 PM.

The Lady Timberwolves fell behind early and couldn’t keep pace as S-E fell to Jamesville-DeWitt, 53-19 on Monday evening.

Despite the setback, S-E still found reasons to celebrate as 8th grader Abbie Green had a night for the record books.

Late in the fourth quarter, Green recorded her 123rd reception of the season, in what is believed to be a new New York State Record for catches in a season. With flag football arriving three years ago, New York State officials will meet in June to establish official New York State Flag Football records. Once the record book is put together, it is anticipated that Green’s 123 receptions - and counting, will set the bench mark for NYS flag football players.

The previous known high to officials was 122 set by Zoe Franks of Half Hollow Hills High School East last spring. Franks achieved the mark in 21 games as Half Hollow Hills reached the state finals. Green’s mark was set in her team’s 13th game of the season.

Green finished the evening with 13 receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Green also added her 15th interception of the season which sets a new Section III record.

Bella Whorrall led S-E with 98 passing yards while Emma Webb threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns, both to Green.

Green tossed a 18-yard touchdown pass to Sadie Davis for S-E’s final touchdown.

Davis caught 8 passes for 49 yards while Olivia Parker had 67 all-purpose yards.

Kadyn Babcock recorded her 7th interception of the season which is second among Section III players.

Davis had a team-best 7 flag pulls, while Isabella Smith had 5.5.

S-E will find out Wednesday who its first round playoff foe will be.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING!!!

Tuesday evening Eighth Grader Abbie Green became the first player in the history of Section 3 Flag Football to record a 100-catch season.

It is believed the current New York State record for catches in a season was set last spring by Zoe Franks of Half Hollow Hills East High School on Long Island. Franks had 122 catches during the 2025 season.

Green and the girls will be home tomorrow night against Westmoreland at 6 pm.

Congrats Abbie!! 💕🏈

Prior to the game, S-E honored seniors Cassie Slater and Savanna Hook during a pre-game ceremony.

Later in the first quarter, Webb would connect with Abbie Green on a 14-yard pass for a touchdown. The two seniors then worked together on a trick play with Hook tossing a pass to Slater for the 1-point conversion to make it 13-0.

In the third quarter, Babcock would intercept a pass and return it 35 yards to put S-E ahead 19-0.

OnTech found the end zone on a 62-yard scoring strike to cut it to 19-6 heading to the fourth quarter.

Webb would find Green for a 28-yard touchdown toss early in the fourth quarter to make it 25-6 and Babcock would seal the game a couple minutes later as she returned another interception for a touchdown, this time from 34 yards away.

Webb completed 26 of 39 pass attempts for 214 yards and three touchdowns.

Green, who late in the fourth quarter became the first player in the history of Section 3 girls flag football to record 100 receptions in a season, finished with 12 catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns.

Sadie Davis added 9 receptions for 76 yards.

In addition to Babcock’s two interceptions, Davis also had two interceptions, while Green added her Section 3 leading 14th interception of the year.

Davis had a team-best 8.5 flag pulls and Hook added 7. Slater led the team with three sacks.
