Mavericks win in 4…..3 to 1 over Cedar Mountain. It was our toughest match to date and the TEAM did an awesome job. All 18 players on this team all contributed to the win!! We play Alden Conger on Thursday at home before heading to the Carolyn Hummel Invite on Saturday at JCC.

Huge shout out to the players and parents that worked the steak fry last night at the Sherburn American Legion Post 356! We raised just shy of $400. Thank you to the community for supporting our volleyball program.

For cancer night every MCW volleyball player 7-12th grade is expected to bring 2 baked goods for the bake sale. Please read the letter for all the information and thank you in advance for your help for Cancer Night.

We take on Madelia tonight!! C-squad 4:30, b squad 5:45 and varsity at 7:00. Come support the volleyball team. We will have another meeting between C and B squad for Cancer Night which will be on Oct. 1st vs Fairmont. We are expecting a big crowd and we need more help getting silent auction items and making sure the night is covered during the event. The meeting is held in Mrs. Fritz’s 6th grade classroom which is out in the commons area. T-shirts will also be on sale again tonight!!

Saturday Sept. 12th the Sherburn American Legion Post 356 is having their monthly steak fry from 5 to 8 and the Maverick Volleyball team will be there busing tables and working in the kitchen. In return they get to keep all the tips from the evening. Please help support the volleyball team. We use the funds to defray costs for things the school doesn’t cover like sack lunches for longer road trips etc. Thank you for your amazing support of the MCW volleyball team. It’s a great day to be a Maverick!!

Attention parents and players!! 7th and 8th grade does have a tournament on Saturday Sept. 19th in Trimont. For some reason the Bound Schedule doesn’t show it on the schedule (Tommy is working on it) but it is on the events calendar. B squad players will be running the concessions stand as C squad has a tourney and so does varsity. There will be a sign up sheet at practice for b squad today!!

It's GAME DAY!! We are excited to hit the road tonight to take on Mt. Lake Area/Comfrey. FYI for those coming to watch the match tonight in Comfrey, they will have a tailgate meal available.
