Thank you for making Post Prom such a HUGE success! Here's how we did:

We welcomed a total of 239 students, 10+ faculty and staff, last minute donut donations from Donut Crazy (across the street) and one very busy ice cream man! It was a great night with no reported problems or students left behind.

The kids consumed 20 pizzas, approx. 11 feet of Subway sandwiches, 2 trays of chicken tenders, a tray of wings, a tray of boneless wings, 500 drinks (water, Gatorade, Capri Sun), 2 watermelons, 5 trays of chips, snack bars, fruit snacks, candy, and lots of ice cream! And we handed out 64 raffle prizes!

Thanks to all of our amazing helpers who made it all come together. You were all such troopers, especially the ones who came for an hour and ended up staying the whole time! Once they were awake, they couldn't tear themselves away ;-)

The event was not possible without the generous donations from our sponsors and parent donors. We're truly blessed to have a community that values our efforts to keep the kids safe after the prom.

A special thanks to the Seymour Police Dept for helping keep our kids safe in their travels to and from the school.

The entire staff at the Sports Center was professional, attentive, and a pleasure to work with. And Michelle from Connecticut Balloon Creations added a special touch with her decorations.

We managed to capture a huge group photo with the help of Kathy Vrlik, our volunteer event photographer; will let you know as soon as it's available.

Thank you to all of the parents who came out on Thursday with donations of snacks, drinks and gift cards. In addition to the All-Star Driving School package, we have over 60 raffle prizes including a 32" TV, Beats Headphones, wireless speakers, beach and summer packages, dozens of gift cards and lots more!

THANK YOU! 249 of our students and prom dates have signed up for Post Prom. We are thrilled that they're taking advantage of the opportunity to spend a few more hours together at this fun, safe event.

REMINDER: First Bus leaves SHS at 11:45 and the last one leaves at 12:45. Administration will be on hand; open containers will be subject to inspection. Wrist bands, a souvenir drawstring bag containing your Post Prom t-shirt and Target Paintball ticket will be given out at check in.

Buses will start returning at 3:45 with everyone out of The Sports Center by 4:30.

It's almost here and we're STILL getting permission slips trickling in...getting close to 250!!

Today's reminders:

1) Donation drop-offs tonight 6-7:30 at the pool parking lot.
2) SOCKS, SOCKS, SOCKS!!! The higher the better for under ice stakes.
3) Dress for the weather, time of day, and ice skating. Sneakers highly recommended for Laser Tag in the dark to avoid smashing those newly-pedicured toes against the big, fake rocks!
4) We have drawstring souvenir bags for the kids so they have someplace to put their personal items...and their SOCKS!
5) There will also be a monitored storage area for personal belongings.
6) Sneakers...AND SOCKS!

remember it's cold and you'll need to bring socks and probably a sweatshirt!

Donations drop-offs of small water bottles, chips, and snacks, as well as any raffle prize donations, can be delivered tomorrow, Thursday, May 7 from 6:00 - 7:30 in the SHS parking lot near the pool entrance.
