Yakhopper Adventures

Currently the manager of Fisherman's Warehouse (Fresno, Ca.) and the organizer of the "Yakhopper Kayak Fishing Series". When not managing the store or organizing events, He is usually fishing the California waters in search of the next great catch. Being of Hawaiian decent, fishing was well seated in his mind as a way of life, his earliest memories were of his father taking him fishing on the piers of Southern California. Later his family moved north to the Bay Area where he learned about the fish of the bay and delta. During family vacations or on weekends the opportunity was always available to get some time on the water, where he learned to catch the inland species. After graduating High School, he moved to the central valley and earned a job at the local Tackle Shop. Working in the tackle business allowed him an anglers dream education, many of California's elite anglers would frequent the shop and give him tips and advice about the local waters and techniques. As the business grew and the little shop expanded and Eric was given the opportunity to Manage the new store. After being a life long angler and working in the fishing industry for over 25 years, he has caught nearly every species of fish in North America.
