Schedule Update! Tonight's Game 3 between Portland, OR and Jacksonville, FL will begin at 7:50 pm. Teams are on the field practicing! Game 4 between Whitehouse, NJ and Tupelo, MS will begin 50 minutes after Game 3 ends. The Parade of Champions has been moved to Friday, August 14 at 6:30 pm! Stay tuned for any changes!⚾️❤️🤍💙

As the 2026 season comes to a close, everyone with Shelby Post 82 Junior Legion Baseball would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible people and businesses who supported our team throughout the year.

A special thank you to Stephanie & Chris Hogston, Marburger Chevrolet, Erin Borders, CPA, Piedmont HVAC, and Chimney Plumbing for your generous support of snacks and meals. Your kindness and commitment to our program helped provide opportunities and experiences our players will never forget.

We also want to recognize our amazing parents and families—especially all of the moms, dads, grandparents, and Mimi Becky—who kept our players fueled with snacks and drinks throughout the playoff season during the 90+degree heat. A special thank you goes to Ashley, Tanner’s mom, for the delicious dessert that was such a thoughtful treat for the team.

To everyone who donated meals or contributed to feeding our players, thank you for your generosity. Sharing meals together became more than just eating—it was time spent building friendships, strengthening our team bond, and creating memories that will last long after the final out.

It truly takes a village to make a season successful, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who gave their time, resources, and encouragement. Thank you for believing in Shelby Post 82 Junior Legion Baseball and for helping make this season so special. We couldn’t have done it without you!

⚾️🧡💙Congratulations to Shelby Post 82 Junior Legion for placing 3rd in the State! ⚾️💙🧡

This season didn’t end with the trophy we dreamed about, but it ended with something just as meaningful—a team that gave everything they had for one another and honoring Pearl.

Finishing 3rd in the state is an accomplishment to be incredibly proud of, but what we’ll remember most isn’t where we finished. We’ll remember the road trips, the practices in the heat, the games in the heat, the extra innings, the celebrations after big wins, and the way this group refused to quit, no matter the challenge. Every player who wore a Shelby Post 82 Junior Legion uniform represented this program with heart, determination, and pride.

Baseball has a way of teaching lessons that go far beyond the game. It teaches resilience after tough losses, humility in victory, and the importance of trusting the people beside you. This team embodied all of those qualities. They grew together, battled together, and created memories that will last long after the final out.

To our players, thank you for believing in each other and wearing “Shelby Post 82” across your chest with pride. To our coaches, thank you for your countless hours, patience, and dedication. To our parents, families, and fans, thank you for every mile traveled, every cheer from the stands (in 90+ degree heat), and every sacrifice made to support these young men.

While it’s hard to say goodbye to this season, we’re grateful for every moment it gave us. The scoreboard may say the season is over, but the friendships, lessons, and memories will last a lifetime.

Thank you, 2026 Shelby Post 82 Junior Legion. You may have finished 3rd in the state, but you’ll always be champions in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of watching this incredible journey unfold.
