In-line planer boards used by anglers while trolling haven't changed much in 40 years. Some have grown larger and some smaller and you can now purchase expensive aftermarket release clips and flags that will wave in an attempt to indicate a strike, but the basic concept remains the same. The many inconveniences shared by all of today's planer boards remain as well. All planer boards are handed; yo
u need a different board for each side of the boat. Planer boards require constant attention to ensure a small fish isn't on one of the lines making it unproductive and wasting your precious time on the water. A fish on an outside board can require you to clear your inside lines to avoid running over and tangling with them, forcing you to juggle rods around in their holders and causing confusion. On retrieval, a board can sometimes take a digger in a big wave and get stripped from the line and lost. And pulling in planer boards all day long gets really tiresome, fish or no fish. This revolutionary new planer board from Raw-Tek Innovations fixes all of those problems. The HyperPlane incorporates a patented, strike-activated tow arm. When a fish strikes the bait, an internal, tension adjustable mechanism allows the tow arm to swing forward, causing the board and the fish to fall directly behind the boat for easy retrieval! This same action can be activated manually from the boat as well. Now you can fight the fish instead of the board! The HyperPlane is also streamlined and buoyant. Rather than cutting into waves, it rides up them and surfs down the other side, while at the same time imparting enticing action to the bait being pulled behind it. We've built and tested dozens of working prototypes while making all the right tweaks along the way. The result is a superior planer board in all ways. Multiple utility patents have been awarded for both the board and the release clips used on the board. Oh yeah, did I mention the HyperPlane isn't handed? That's right, set the tow arm to the side you need and run on either side of your boat with the same board! We are currently seeking funding to enable us to make these exceptional planer boards available to anxious customers soon!
