GSR Kartway what a weekend for the Prelude and Badger 50!! We had a blast and will definitely want to be a part of this event for years to come!

Now, on to some race recaps:

Friday night we showed up just wanting to feel out the track and have some fun and that we did.

The kart was good during hot laps, so we didn’t touch it for the heat, and that was a mistake. Running third, we threw the chain before a restart, and further investigation determined that David forgot to make sure his sprocket nuts were tightened. Oh well, we’ll do better next time.

So we started at the back for the feature. Once again, no changes, except making sure the sprocket was gonna stay put.

And that was the wrong decision, we just weren’t fast enough, finishing in the back of the pack. Lessons learned for Saturday.

Saturday afternoon on the way to the track we talked about trying to free the kart up a bit, and we made a few small changes for the Badger 50.

Free up the kart it did! We were sliding everywhere during practice. But it felt like there was more speed there, so we went with it.

Qualifying was a first for us, being able to go out and get as much as we can out of the kart in one lap. Turns out, it wasn’t as fast as we thought. So a gearing change for the heat, and a lot of work to do.

The heat was better, the kart felt even faster and the lap times showed it. But then we made the fatal mistake and went back to the gearing we started on, and the b main didn’t go well. The kart handled well, but we just could catch the karts in front so that ended our night.

But wait, the drama isn’t over, we still got to watch Jeremy Duquaine race the SPR - Ivy DuQuaine 7x kart in his b-main. Starting third, he was right on the leaders battling for the transfer spot. He even set the fastest lap in the process, but just couldn’t make a move before the flag and the was the end of our racing for the night.

This weekend was an absolute blast and had everything you could want in a couple days of racing. All of the racers in every class battles their hearts out to put on one great show.

Big thanks to Jeremy Duquaine for helping us to be able to race, not only this weekend but the whole year.

Recap from GSR Kartway 8-12-26:

Heat 1: 2-4
Heat 2: 3-3
Feature: 6-7

The kart was by far the fastest it’s ever been, and it showed. Held second in the first heat for a couple laps but then got pushed back to 4th.

The second heat was relatively uneventful, finishing where I started.

Started 6th in the feature, worked up to 4th, but then spun out of 2 and had to work back up to 7th in the end.

All in all a good night, finally seeing some improvement in the results along with faster lap times.

Quick recap from GSR Kartway 8-5-26

Well, it’s been a couple of weeks of hard work and we came back this week, having thrown the kitchen sink at it and boy did it help.

A few positioning mistakes in the heat races left us with a tough draw in the feature and had a little bad luck that meant I finished 7th.

But, on the bright side, the kart was the fastest it’s been all year and hopefully it’ll keep getting faster.

🏁 Meet Driver – Ivy Pepper DuQuaine! 💚

Ivy Pepper DuQuaine of Seat of the Pantz Racing! In just three years behind the wheel, Ivy has already made her mark on the dirt, picking up 4 feature wins in 2025 and continuing to build on her success every race.

When she’s not racing, you’ll find her listening to music, playing volleyball, and making memories with her family and teammates. With her mom, dad, and little sister Vivian in her corner, Ivy is always ready to chase the checkered flag.

Come on out to GSR Kartway tomorrow night, we’re gonna have a good night of racing and I’ve heard that SPR - Ivy DuQuaine 7x will be returning to the track!

Come out to GSR Kartway for Alumni Night brought to you by Jordan Bartz Racing! & Reuter Racing where you will be able to meet many of the racing stars of today who started out in go-kart racing! Come see the "big" cars on display. With their permission, you may even be able to sit in one. In addition to our Alumni guests, we will have a full night of go-kart and lawnmower races!

All "Big" Car Racers who started out in go-kart racing are welcome to bring their cars to display. One free admission per race team displaying a car.

Pits Open: 4:30 pm
Practice: 6:00 pm
Racing Starts: 7:00 pm

Spectator Admission: $7/person
Age 8 and Under are FREE!
FREE Spectator Parking!
Concession Stand available on-site

Before I get into a recap of yesterday’s action, I’d like to thank a few people.

I’d like to thank all of the men and women of the US military who put themselves on the line to keep us safe. Without them we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

I’d like to thank Little Buckaroo Jr Motorsports Park operated by Little Buckaroo Karting for recognizing the contributions these amazing people make for us.

I’d like to thank the track workers that prepare and run the track, thank you for making it possible for us to race.

And las but not least, I’d like to thank Jeremy Duquaine and SPR - Ivy DuQuaine 7x for helping me out with tires yesterday.

Now on to the track action.

First heat started 4th, and finished 6th. Had a little push out of 4 that cost us some time so we fixed that for the second heat.

Second heat we started 5th and finished 6th. This time a pretty intense battle cost us some time, but the kart was fast today, and I went into the feature feeling pretty good.

Feature we started 7th and finished 5th. This was the most eventful race that I’ve taken part in. Fought up to 5th pretty quick, then got locked into a 3 way fight for 3rd. Coming into 3 the two guys ahead a little tangled up and I found my way up to 3rd for a few laps. Eventually settled back dow into 5th though and that’s where we finished.

All in all, a really good day, and we’ll be back in action on Wednesday at GSR Kartway. See you there!
