Here is the sign up process for my new class starting in a few weeks!

2 Steps to register: Students will need to purchase their pass first then register for the class second. These are two seperate links or two seperate areas of the 5 Koshas Punch Pass site. A pass is required in order to book.

1) First, purchase your pass here: https://5koshasyoga.punchpass.com/passes
They will see the Fitness & Pilates Pass Options to select & purchase. Click or touch on their preferred pass. Enter in payment information. They will receive an email payment confirmation for their payment.

2) Second, register for their class here: https://5koshasyoga.punchpass.com/calendar or https://5koshasyoga.punchpass.com/classes
They will need to go to Wednesdays on the schedule or calendar (both will get them there). Click or touch on the class title "PilatesXStrength" Click or touch the blue button that says "Reserve My Spot". They will receive an email registration confirmation that confirms their registration.

Friends... as I was at the gym today I had a great idea!
I'm going to tag my favorite companies that I believe in. I have lived in Wausau for over 3 years and it's been up and down... moving from a big city to a small has been mentally challenging for me. I've had to not only recover from a huge ski accident but also meet new friends, find a new gym, massage, yoga, functional medicine doctor, open a home Pilates studio, ect.
All of these things are what make me a better person and feel better.
As woman who are nearing or in
Menapause we need "compassion "
We are not crazy!
So here we go!

1: Get your labs done... I go to Wisconsin Institute of Functional Medicine... helping with gut health and hormones!

2: I go to the YMCA and love Renée Giese for my weight training!
Take a class from her and or do personal training! She knows her s**t! Woman you need to life heavy s**t... life weights! Cardio will not change your body composition.

3: Do Pilates with me in my home studio, I only take referrals so DM me! Strong mind and body is what we need.

4: Do yoga SHIFT Yoga Wausau! She's amazing. Happy to have yoga in my life again!

5: get a massage by Nicole Soberg! Again a great esthetician, and Massage Therapist! You'll need a massage after you start lifting weights 😳😂

6: find a great chiropractor Sara Beth! She understands the body!

7: go see my friends Julie Walvatne Fox at Magnolia Soap and Bath Co Wausau it will make you happy to walk in there!

Eat intuitively, sleep well, limit sugar, and (limit alcohol, go see Amy at Forward Beverage Co. )

Most of all enjoy life and take care of yourself ❤️😘

The room is coming along!
I love looking outside while I’m working out!
It’s so peaceful and cozy in here!
It’s where I come to write my workout and journal!
Still need to move the furniture out!
Hoping for Early Feb to get classes scheduled!
The floor is heated and I’ll put a few space heaters in here. But you will get warm! it’s 75 degrees in here right now:)

Happy New Year!!
I’m opening this year with writing new workouts 🎆
Jeff agreed to let me use his Man cave/ deer cave to hold classes in there!
We will start cleaning it out and moving the couch’s into the house.

I will get a booking app and share that information with you when it’s ready. I can hold 8 people to start. I am ordering bands, blocks and small balls.

I’ll offer 2 formate (fitness Pilates and Hot Pilates) and heated/ lightly heated will be an option.

Ladies… I spoke to the owner of Franks Gym and he rents out his fitness room. I’m thinking of starting a class at 5 pm and maybe noon (Wednesday) or 9 am ( starting with 2x a week)

What days and times would you be interested in?

I still need insurance and a booking app but I’m trying to gain interest first.

Just some Pilates information ❤️

1. Pilates, done in it’s true form, it a system that builds on itself. This means that entry level exercises are introduced and those are done repeatedly to get the proper strength in the body to then move on to the next level of exercises. The same “shapes in space” are brilliantly repeated throughout the system continuously challenging the now conditioned body to take the next step in precision and control thus building even more strength with stretch and control. Martial Arts is the only other systematic method that I can think of that is similar???
2. Every exercise in Pilates is a “total body exercise” that may focus on one particular thing. But that one particular thing, however, is to challenge the entire body to be active all at the same time while maintaining correct alignment and posture of the entire body.
3. Pilates works from the inside out. This means every movement is initiated from the powerhouse then adds the periphery to challenge the strength, stability and mobility of the spine and pelvis being controlled from the “inside.”
4. No other exercise method utilizes the “two-way stretch” of length and opposition to open up and lengthen the spine having the work initiate from the powerhouse.
5. Pilates movements are, by and large, in, up and slightly forward coming from the low deep abdominal muscles thus lengthening the lumbar spine instead of compressing it.
6. One of the main goals of Pilates exercise, aside from strengthening the powerhouse, is spinal articulation and mobility.
7. Pilates exercise can be done for a lifetime as there are well over 500 exercises in the original system so the method can be mixed and matched on whatever apparatus works best for the person and body in front of you.

Hope everyone is doing good!
Just a little update on what’s going on with me….
I left teaching my favorite classes about 3 months ago.
Since then I have learned a lot !
I feel the need to explain why I left.

I moved to Wausau 3 years ago and had never intended to teach group fitness again. I was content not teaching, because I’ve taught for 2 decades. Teaching group fitness classes takes a lot of time preparing, setting music ect.

I met Salt owner right when she opened, and she wanted me to teach Pilates. So I thought about it for a month and decided to go for it. Moving into a new city at 50 is hard, I had no friends and family here. I thought it would be a great place for connect to people. And it was!!

Slowly after I started teaching my classes started to fill…. And Salt started wanted me to teach more. So I did….. and then she started asking me to clean … so I did… working 2 plus hours and getting paid for 1. My time at salt was getting to be more and more. Then I took the Hot Pilates training and it was different for Wausau and fun/hard.
Fast forward, Salt went behind my back and hired a front desk staff who was also put in place to take my classes and (my music)…. Little did I know also planned on taking the training. Salt also put in place 3 other girls to take training and never actually took my class. Salt and the new girls were counting on me to help train them… keeping in mind I spend $3000 on my “”in person training, they did there’s virtual. Salt did all of this without my knowledge or support.

I felt used, always unsupported and very taken advantage of, not to mention getting yelled at many times for what ever. Teaching for 2 decades…. And then pushed out like it was nothing.
Being told that I need to keep teaching more and more classes and adding an unsafe amount of people in my class was mentally exhausting. I was sick all the time, I was spending hrs doing my cold towels, with no reimbursement on time and materials.
This is what I learned … in this situation people are out for themselves . There is no team work , there was no support , there was no compassion, I was taken advantage of Period !
So I quit….. I am worth more than this!

I will never forget my students who came to class. I will also never forget how I was treated.

I also will always love Pilates because at the end of the day it is just Pilates not a business that is out for creating so much unnecessary stress.

Hope you are well and I do hope to teach again when I’m ready to trust and forgive ❤️
