Time is falling apart.
The way we experience time, the way we bow down to it, the way we have idolized it and made it our master…that paradigm is cracking wide open.
Have you experienced slippages of time lately? Days that are full and meaningful yet speed by before you can blink? Months that disappear, with one blurring into the next with rapid force? Seasons that feel out of place, weather that is incongruent with our usual experience of that date on the calendar?
Time is falling apart. It is, after all, a man-made construct. Grids and charts and clocks and measures…these were all created by man. And we have become enslaved by them. Our nervous systems react to the clock. A few minutes “late” to work or school brings consequences, punishment. Deadlines are given and if we don’t meet the expectation we are given consequences and punishment. We see time as something to lose, something that is constantly slipping away, and while we are focused on the time and on the loss and on the calendar and the clock, we forget to be alive. We forget to be in the moment. We forget to be.
So time is falling apart.
But cycles remain.
The moon and the stars remain and so do the energies that connect us to them. The cycles remain, of ebb and flow, of growth and dying, of resurrection and rebirth.
Time is falling apart. And it’s a beautiful thing, it’s a glorious thing, it’s a necessary thing. As we let go, as we allow, as we tune in to the cycles and the energies and the movement, we will begin to relax. We will begin to breathe. We will begin to live. And be.
It’s about time.
