Seymour Wildcats were victorious vs. Ledyard 7-2 and move on to the Quarterfinals.

In the top of the third inning, the Wildcats went into the lead after Aidan DeNigris doubled to left field, and Jacob Lang singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Seymour Varsity Wildcats flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by DeNigris that drove in three.

Lang opened the game for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. The starter allowed four hits and two runs (zero earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out two and walking five. Zack Lawruszko threw one and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball for Seymour Varsity Wildcats in relief. The southpaw surrendered one hit, striking out two and walking none.

DeNigris, Jacob Britto, and Lang each collected two hits for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. DeNigris and Britto each drove in two runs for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. Seymour Varsity Wildcats turned one double play in the game.

Seymour Varsity Wildcats Triumph Over O'Brien RVT 7-4

The Wildcats captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Jacob Britto doubled down the right field line, and Danny Marra grounded out, each scoring one run.

Seymour Varsity Wildcats added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on three hits. Zack Lawruszko tripled, scoring one run, Aidan DeNigris hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Jacob Lang hit a solo home run to right field.

DeNigris led things off on the bump for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. The hurler surrendered five hits and one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking four. Matthew Barton appeared in relief for Seymour Varsity Wildcats.

Anthony Cortello, Seymour Varsity Wildcats's number eight hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. DeNigris, Britto, Lang, Cortello, and Lawruszko each drove in one run for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. Cortello stole two bases. Seymour Varsity Wildcats ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. Seymour Varsity Wildcats were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

Next up the Wildcats travel to Ledyard HS tomorrow 3:30pm, in the second round of the state tournament.

Seymour Varsity Wildcats Loses 2-3 to Woodland Hawks in 1st round of NVL Tournament

Jacob Lang started the game for Seymour Varsity Wildcats and recorded 15 outs.

Seymour Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the first inning after Zack Lawruszko hit a solo home run to center field.
Jacob Britto homered to left field, which helped Seymour Varsity Wildcats tie the game at two in the top of the fourth.

Ryan Babineau took the loss for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. The reliever went two and one-third innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out none and walking none.

Seymour Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the first inning after Ben Fetzko doubled, scoring two runs.

Aidan DeNigris led things off on the hill for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking none.Ryan Babineau tossed one inning of shutout ball for Seymour Varsity Wildcats in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

Fetzko drove the middle of the lineup, leading Seymour Varsity Wildcats with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Jacob Britto, Fetzko, and Zack Lawruszko each collected one hit for Seymour Varsity Wildcats. Britto stole two bases.
