Happy New Year!
2015 has seen a record number of bears being rescued, even into the winter months that is rather unusual. Appalachian Bear Rescue is there to nurture these bears and provide them with every opportunity to learn how to survive in the wild. We are so very fortunate to have this organization working to keep bears in the wild.

On this, the last day of 2015, we look back at all we’ve accomplished together. It’s been an exceptional year on many levels, with moments of joy and sorrow. To date, we’ve taken in thirty-six bears, nineteen of them still in residence. We present to you a photo of each cub in the order they came to us. Some of the pictures are when they were little, others when they were ready for release. We remember too, the three little bears who didn’t make it: Angelica, Millie and Pansy. Their passing was hard, but you were with us, just as you’ve been every day for every cub. We depend on you for support, regardless of the form it takes, and you’ve never let us down. We’re grateful for your friendship and compassion. Please enjoy looking at the photos of the cubs you helped save. We wish you a very Happy New Year!
