Some days can be very trying in this business. Yesterday kinda sums that up.
We started the day with a flat trailer tire. After working all week to get the car fixed, as we’re getting loaded up, the trailer tire is going flat. No problem, as we have the means to repair it. We get it fixed, get loaded and hit the road.
At the track, Landon pulls probably his best starting pill all year. As he’s going out for warm ups, the front torsion arm comes off(always check your bolts!). We fix it quickly and they let him back out to warm up. Car is not bad but seems off. Make some adjustments and go out for the heat race. During the heat, the car falls on its face. Motor trouble strikes and that ends our evening.
Very disappointed to say the least, but it just adds to the frustration of what has been a trying year. Sophomore jinx maybe??
Anyway, we have a little break here, so we’ll get everything fixed up and have it all sorted for the final 7 races.
