Today, our Senoia Stingers stepped up and made a commitment—not just to the game, but to each other.

They committed to representing their team, coaches, families, and community with pride, work ethic, and integrity. They committed to growing as players, supporting their teammates, and giving their best on and off the field.

We’re proud of these boys and the commitment they made today. The work starts now.

⚾️ MEET THE COACH ⚾️

Assistant Coach – Chris Collins

Born and raised just outside of Huntsville, Alabama, Chris has been passionate about baseball since he first picked up a glove at three years old. He went on to earn a varsity letter in baseball and spent ten years training with a former Major League pitcher, where he developed a deep appreciation for the mechanics and mental side of the game.

After his playing career, Chris spent several years assisting with his high school baseball program, gaining valuable coaching experience and discovering a passion for developing young athletes. He also competed in travel baseball for six years, playing against top competition throughout the Southeast.

Chris began coaching youth baseball when his son, Davis, started tee ball. Since then, he has been committed to helping coach nearly every team his son has been a part of, focusing on player development, character, and a love for the game.

Chris believes baseball is one of life’s greatest teachers and is passionate about helping young players grow both on and off the field.

Coach Chris says ““I love studying the game of baseball and the countless lessons it teaches us about life and ourselves.”

⚾️ MEET THE COACH ⚾️

Assistant Coach / First Base Coach – Branndon Turner

Branndon brings a lifetime of love for the game and a strong background in baseball and softball to the field.

With 14 years of playing experience, 5 years of coaching recreation, All-Stars, and travel teams, and 3 years as an umpire, he brings a well-rounded perspective and a passion for helping players improve.

Away from the field, Branndon serves as the Coordinating Chief for the Coweta Judicial Circuit, overseeing felony probation and parole. He and his wife, Aimee, are proud parents to a son, Bennett (8), and a daughter, Makinzie (10), who plays travel softball with Georgia Force.

Branndon is excited to invest in this group of boys by focusing on player development, building confidence, and creating a competitive environment where athletes can grow both on and off the field.

⚾️ Meet the Coach: Matthew Capinas ⚾️

A Georgia native, Coach Matthew spent his younger years involved in sports such as baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball and fringe sports like skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. The true love of coaching baseball was found while helping coach his son's tee ball team. After that, the years of coaching compounded enough to create teams focused around accountability, perseverance, hustle, and maintaining the love of the game.

It is not uncommon to hear Coach Matthew say to the boys before a game "There's no place I would rather be".

Transitioning into a dedicated travel baseball team, Coach Matthew intends to introduce the boys into a higher level of baseball where challenges will be faced. All the while, using adversity to grow in the sport and apply it to the challenges of life.

⚾ Meet the Coach: Micah Sawyer ⚾

Baseball has been a part of Coach Micah’s life for as long as he can remember. Since coaching at the 6U level, he’s found a passion for teaching the fundamentals and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.

His coaching philosophy is simple:

🔹 Maximum Effort
🔹 Respect for the Game

Coach Micah is committed to building confident players, strong teammates, and a love for baseball that lasts well beyond the season.
