Semmes 9U All-Stars are 10U STATE CHAMPS! They have gone 16-1-1 through their All-star season so far. They will represent Semmes Baseball in the Southeast Regional Tourney in a few weeks. Congrats, boys and coaches, and keep grinding! Hard work pays off!

This 100 times!

In the past week I watched two games where two different Dads did this. Then, every time their son did something good they would walk around seeking praise from other parents. It was hard to watch but at the same time I couldn’t take my eyes off of it because every time their son did something not so good they would disappear behind the bleachers. People fail, especially in baseball! What are you teaching your kids if you’re only there for them during their successes? Who or what will they turn to during their failures? We teach our team baseball is like life full of wins and losses and your happiness and ability to grow is based on how you handle both. Seems like maybe some parents need to hear this as well!
