Sgt Bret D. Isenhower Memorial 5K The 13th annual 5k will be held on May 16, 2026 at 8 am in Seminole, OK. Isenhower Memorial Fund, inc. (applications open to the public)

Location: 401 N Main St
All proceeds will go to the scholarship set up in Bret’s memory at East Central University🧡🐯🖤 Bret gave his life in Afghanistan on September 9, 2011 when his team was attacked by small arm fire. All proceeds from this event will go to the scholarship fund set up in Bret’s name; Sgt Bret D.

Today, we honor and remember the eight lives lost in the B-52 aircraft accident at Edwards Air Force Base.

We remember Col Gregory Watson, Lt Col Gabriel Estrella, Retired Lt Col Miles Middleton, Maj Alexander Davis, Maj Robert Dee, Maj Brad Hovey, Jeromy Smith, and Christopher Rischar.

Each name represents a life of service, commitment, and purpose. As their families, friends, teammates, and communities grieve this profound loss, we stand alongside them in remembrance.

May we never take for granted the sacrifice made by those who serve our nation, nor the loved ones who carry their memory forward.

Speak their names. Move with purpose. Honor the fallen.

Today we honor the symbol that represents the freedom, courage, and sacrifices made by so many. The American flag is more than fabric — it carries the stories of those who have served, protected, and given everything for our country.

On this Flag Day, we remember Sgt. Bret D. Isenhower and all of our heroes who proudly stood beneath the flag while serving our nation.

May we always honor their sacrifice, cherish our freedoms, and never forget the price that was paid for them.

Today we honor and remember Sgt. Bret D. Isenhower and all those who gave their lives in service to our country🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a reminder of the sacrifice made by brave men and women who answered the call to serve. Bret’s legacy continues through the lives he touched, the love he gave, and the community that still proudly speaks his name.

We will forever remember him not only as a soldier, but as a son, brother, friend, and hero.
