Unfortunately with the rain received yesterday along with the forecast for scattered rain and thunderstorms this afternoon into evening, we are going to be cancelling the show for Friday, August 7th. We have a lot of race teams that travel a far distance to race with us week in and week out so we feel the need to make this decision early.

Our next race is scheduled for Friday, August 14th featuring the Joe Whitcomb Memorial for 358 Sprint Cars ($2,071 to win), High Caliber Cranes 410 Sprint Cars, and Wingless Super Sportsman!

Tomorrow’s racing action features a two division show of stock cars!

The Selinsgrove Ford Super Late Models and Creekside Auto Sales Limited Late Models do battle at the Fastest Half Mile on the East Coast! These two have been putting on some outstanding racing lately and we can’t wait to see what they produce tomorrow.

Don’t forget, Northeast RV put out a bounty for Gregg Satterlee that currently sits at $1,000. If anyone can beat Gregg while he is still on the track and racing in the feature event, they take home the extra cash. If it makes it to the end of the season and Gregg remains unbeaten, he takes home the money. This bounty can be raised if anyone is interested in adding to it.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Statement from Colin Rice Regarding the Future of Selinsgrove Speedway

I am honored to announce that I have accepted the opportunity to serve as the promoter of Selinsgrove Speedway for the next three years.

First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank Paula and Jenna for their dedication and hard work over the past two seasons. Promoting a racetrack is no easy task, and I truly appreciate the countless hours and effort they invested in Selinsgrove Speedway.

As discussions regarding the future of the speedway began in May (12), one of the primary topics was the length of the lease agreement. The Fair Board requested a three-year lease, but Paula and Jenna ultimately decided they were not interested in committing to that term. During a meeting in early July (7), they reiterated multiple times that they had no interest in signing a three-year lease agreement. I fully respect their decision and appreciate the time they devoted to evaluating their options. I wish them nothing but the very best moving forward.

At that point, I was faced with a decision: walk away or continue the work that so many people have invested in this facility. Having spent nearly every day at the speedway for two years, dedicating countless hours to its success, I could not stand by and watch it decline. My decision to move forward is rooted in my passion for this speedway and my belief in its future.

I also want to address the recent criticism directed toward the Selinsgrove Fair Board. Throughout this entire process, the Fair Board has acted fairly, professionally, and transparently. This was not a last-minute decision. Discussions about the future of the speedway had been taking place for several months, providing everyone involved with ample opportunity to consider their options and make informed decisions. The Fair Board does not deserve the personal attacks or criticism it has received, and I hope our racing community can move forward with mutual respect and a shared commitment to the future of Selinsgrove Speedway.

Our new promotion team is committed to operating both the half-mile speedway and the go-kart track through the 2029 season. Fans and competitors can expect all current racing divisions to continue, with our focus centered on delivering competitive racing while building a strong foundation for the future.

I am also excited to announce that Steve Paige and Blane Heimbach will return as members of the track crew, overseeing the preparation and maintenance of the racing surface. Their experience, knowledge, and dedication will help ensure competitors have the best racing surface possible each race night.

Most importantly, I have the utmost respect for everyone who has been part of Selinsgrove Speedway past, present, and future. My decision to take on this responsibility comes from one simple place: a genuine desire to see Selinsgrove Speedway continue to grow and succeed. I believe in this facility, its racers, its fans, its staff, and its proud history. I am committed to working alongside everyone in our racing community to make Selinsgrove Speedway the very best it can be.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the track for the remainder of the 2026 season and for many years to come.

Colin Rice

Bounty Alert! 🚨

Our friends at Northeast RV have decided to up the ante in the Selinsgrove Ford Super Late Model division with a cash bounty on Gregg Satterlee!

Satterlee has picked up the feature win in all SLM shows this season, not including the World of Outlaws Late Model Series race. With a seemingly unbeatable record, it’s time to add some fun to the mix!

The current bounty is set at $1000. What does that mean? If someone can beat Gregg in a feature event while he is still on the track and racing, they’ll take home an additional $1000 with their payout. The bounty does not count if Gregg is not on the track at the end of the feature event. If he makes it to the end of the season and is not beaten, he takes home the extra $1000.

We love some good competitive fun and if anyone would like to add to the bounty, the opportunity is available!

Thanks to everyone involved thus far, and good luck! Someone is going to take home some extra money! 💵

This Friday features a two division stock car show!

The Selinsgrove Ford Super Late Models and Creekside Auto Sales Limited Late Models do battle after a quick turnaround from Saturday’s racing action.

Reminder, the PA Sprint Series 305 Sprint Cars are NOT racing at Selinsgrove on Friday night so they can compete at Clinton County Speedway in the Cowboy Jim Kennedy Memorial.

It was great seeing so many people at the Snyder County Half-Mile last weekend and hope to see that same energy throughout these last few races!

This post is being made with full transparency to keep all of the racing community in the loop. Today, Monday, August 3, 2026 we were made aware that the Selinsgrove Fair Association is choosing to not renew our lease for 2027 and beyond.

In November of 2024 when we first met with the Fair Board, we wanted to sign a 3-year contract. At the time, they decided that it would be mutually beneficial to draft a 1-year lease that could be renewed each year at the end of July by both parties. When we met recently, the board informed us that they now wanted to switch to a 3-year deal. We advised them in person that we were not comfortable with switching the lease as the current agreement was working well for us from a business standpoint. At that point we were told that they would discuss and get back to us with their decision. Today is when that decision was sent to us. The Fair Board is requiring a 3-year lease so they are choosing to decline our renewal. We are unsure of the Fair Association’s plans moving forward and request that all questions be directed to them and not our personal messages.

The three of us would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who has supported our resurgence of Selinsgrove Speedway. We plan to give it our all for these last 3 months as we have a lot of big racing planned to end the season. We hope to see you all at the track in the coming weeks and months as we end our tenure. Your support means more to us than you will ever know!

Thank you and let’s end this 80th anniversary season in an astronomical way!

Jenna, Paula, and Colin
