A MESSAGE FOR OUR GLORIOUS CAPTAIN

Our glorious Captain has unfortunately sustained an injury and will be unable to fight for some time. While he may be temporarily stepping away from the battlefield, his role within the Hellions doesn’t stop here.

He’ll still be there beside us—coaching, teaching, sharpening our skills, and passing down his knowledge and experience to the next generation of fighters.

Captain, focus on healing and getting better. We’ll hold the line until you’re ready to return.

Get well soon, brother. The battlefield won’t be the same without you. We will fight side by side again.

HELLIONS ANNUAL MEET & GREET

Today we welcomed a new group of interested members to our annual ACW Susquehanna Hellions Meet & Greet!

We spent the day showing everyone what armored combat is really all about—from the sport itself and what it takes to become a fighter, to member costs, insurance, weapons, armor, and proper armor fitting and use.

Everyone got the opportunity to see proper dueling demonstrations, learn how the weapons are used, and even try on the armor themselves. There’s nothing quite like putting on a full kit and getting a feel for what our fighters experience.

And we had one particularly special moment today…

We officially burned Logan Mertz’s tabard, marking his veterancy within the Hellions ranks!

Watching our team grow—from new faces coming through the door to experienced fighters earning their place within our ranks—is one of the best parts of what we do.

To everyone who came out today: thank you for spending your day with us, asking questions, getting involved, and giving the sport a chance.

And to our current Hellions: thank you for helping teach, demonstrate, answer questions, and continue building this team.

The Hellions are growing. The ranks are getting stronger. And this is only the beginning.

INTERESTED IN ARMORED COMBAT? COME MEET THE HELLIONS!

Ever wondered what it takes to get into armored combat? Maybe you’ve seen us fight and thought, “I want to try that!”

Now’s your chance.

The ACW Susquehanna Hellions are hosting a new fighter meet & greet and combat demonstration on Sunday, August 23rd from 2–4 PM in Selinsgrove, PA.

This event is specifically for people who are interested in joining the sport and want to learn what it’s all about. Come meet our fighters, ask questions, check out the armor, watch demonstrations, and learn how you can get started!

We’ll also have a small cookout with burgers and hot dogs while everyone gets to know each other.

COME PREPARED TO GET INVOLVED!

If you’re interested in trying some of the training yourself, please bring:

Athletic clothing
Sneakers/athletic shoes
Something to hold water

You don’t need to own armor. You don’t need experience. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to learn.

RIVERFEST LONGSWORD CHAMPION!

A huge congratulations to Ant Carvalho of the ACW New Jersey Leeds Devils for taking 1st place in the Longsword tournament at Riverfest!

Ant fought his way through a stacked bracket and came out on top, bringing home the gold!

It was an awesome showing from Ant and the Leeds Devils. He stepped into the lyst, put in the work, and walked away as the Riverfest Longsword Champion!
