Cathedral Rock Vortex. Sedona, Arizona
12/25 Christmas Day!
The specific vortex spot is pictured in the 6th slide where you can see the pillar behind me doing the reverse warrior pose.
A vortex is an area of concentrated energy coming from the earth “masculine” or going into the earth “feminine”. Cathedral Rock has been identified as a feminine energy vortex. It is also believed that this energy is moving up or down in a spiral. Native Americans believe that spiritual transformation can occur more quickly and easily in Sedona because the veils to other dimensions are thinner here.
So what do you experience in a vortex? Some say they feel a tingling energy on their skin or even a vibration coming from the earth. Some experience intense meditations and feel a deeper connection to themselves, the earth or a higher source.
As I walked past this area and looked around at the beauty and magnitude of the rock formations I was overwhelmed and had to sit down or I might faint. Or, maybe it was the intense vortex energy of the area.
I could have spent all day here exploring, meditating and connecting more deeply to this land and next time I visit I’m going to be sure to.
I highly recommend hiking this from Baldwin trail. It’s a little bit further but sooo worth it.
