I post this quote a lot because this is something that I think about almost every day. I feel like quitting all the time, but I don’t! It’s really hard, but what’s harder is when I looked in the mirror every day and didn’t like what I saw. That was a little too hard for me. So I decided to make a change and even when I feel like giving up, I think about thoes times when I looked in the mirror and felt so uncomfortable with myself. I keep pushing forward every day and I keep making changes and creating new habits. This is what really works! No one can tell you when you will be ready to make a change in your health, you have come to that out on your own. TIP OF THE DAY! So, I know that people are always saying, "Well you need this much protein in a day and this many veggies and blah blah blah blah blah". Honestly I am a visual learner and I can't visualize what my portions of food should look like without actually seeing it. I love these kinds of pics because they easily show you how much of everything you should have on your plate. Of course if you are on a strict diet or cutting certain things out, then this may differ for you, but if you are consistently eating daily healthy meals composed of protein, veggies and whole grains, then this is pretty much what it should look like portion wise. :)

I was thinking today about how it takes one person, yourself, to make a real change in your own life and how its really up to you to change your habits and lifestyle to create happiness and well being in your own life. Although, I must say, right now I know for a fact that without certain people in my life that are motivating me daily and giving me true friendship and support, I don't know if I would have kept on the path that I am right now now. I would like to give a GINORMOUS shoutout to Jennifer Fuji and Tia Nowak for being two of the top motivators in my life right now, keeping me going everyday and for believing in me. They really make me feel special and tell em everyday that I CAN DO THIS! Thanks guys for everything you give and teach and I hope to learn as much as I can from you both. xoxox

So I don't know if any of you have seen this recipe before, but its soooooo yummy! I found it a while ago when I was in my first clean eating group and I made them for dinner one night and my fiancé and I loved them! They are healthy and delicious. I made them with some salmon and it was perfect! I used chard instead of spinach because I luv chard but either one would be great. ;) Try it out! If you could have ANY SUPER POWER, what would it be????!!! I would most certainly want to be able to make myself invisible whenever I want. That way I could do pretty much whatever I want, whenever I want, get out of anything I don't want to do and be places Im not allowed to be. :) hahah It would be awesome....

GEARING UP FOR THE WEEKEND!!! I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time with staying on track, nutritionally speaking, on the weekend!!! I always feel like I have some sort of excuse to go off of my nutrition track like, "I have worked all week and Im tired and just want to relax and eat whatever I want", or, "OH MY GOD I have been eating soo good all week so I can splurge for a whole day, or two, or three!" I have found myself saying these things to myself my entire life. I want to change that for good and stop making excuses! PERIOD! It doesn't matter what day of the week it is, or what time of day, or what happened at work, or who's birthday it is! Now I am certainly not saying that you can't have a muffin or a wonderful waffle once in a while, but rather that we just have to focus on the bigger picture as a whole and realize that if we don't change the way we have nutritionally and physically behaved most of our lives, then nothing will change and we will not see the results we are looking for. So with all that said, I am gearing up for the weekend by planning out my meals and snacks and not only knowing what I already will be eating this weekend so I don't have to think about it, but also mentally preparing myself to stay on track and complete my workouts each day of the weekend when all I really want to do is lay on the couch and watch tv. ;)

Its THANKFUL THURSDAY everyone!!!!!! Today I am thankful for my amazing fiancé Ben Prowell!!! He is my rock and he always knows how to cheer me up and make me smile when I am down.
