GEARING UP FOR THE WEEKEND!!! I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time with staying on track, nutritionally speaking, on the weekend!!! I always feel like I have some sort of excuse to go off of my nutrition track like, "I have worked all week and Im tired and just want to relax and eat whatever I want", or, "OH MY GOD I have been eating soo good all week so I can splurge for a whole day, or two, or three!" I have found myself saying these things to myself my entire life. I want to change that for good and stop making excuses! PERIOD! It doesn't matter what day of the week it is, or what time of day, or what happened at work, or who's birthday it is! Now I am certainly not saying that you can't have a muffin or a wonderful waffle once in a while, but rather that we just have to focus on the bigger picture as a whole and realize that if we don't change the way we have nutritionally and physically behaved most of our lives, then nothing will change and we will not see the results we are looking for. So with all that said, I am gearing up for the weekend by planning out my meals and snacks and not only knowing what I already will be eating this weekend so I don't have to think about it, but also mentally preparing myself to stay on track and complete my workouts each day of the weekend when all I really want to do is lay on the couch and watch tv. ;)
