It was a tough weekend for the Bucks. They played up in our local Ludington Baseball Club 12U tournament this weekend and unfortunately lost 3 games.

But there are many bright spots from the 3 games

Bentley Serka went 5-6 in our first 2 games with a double and a triple!

Micah vandussen went 2-2 with a pair of doubles in a game!

Cam Miller hit another Homerun to opposite field!

We stole 9 bases in 1 game!

We have our final tournament of the year this weekend in Cadillac. This is our age group and we’re looking to wrangle that looming win!

Since Canada can’t seem to control their forests, and we care about our players safety, outdoor practice for tonight has been cancelled. 😞

BUT we have Coach Colin’s basement garage open for glove control drills, tee and soft toss work, and of course rope bat soft ball work!

Second tournament ever, and another 2nd place finish. I think it’s safe to say we’re shedding our antler felt!

The Bucks played some great teams this weekend! Showcasing our great hitting and some pretty spectacular plays in the field as well!

We fell short in the championship game, keeping one of the top teams in the state at bay the first 3 innings, and being just a few plays away from a very different outcome!

A lot to be proud of in these boys, they have true grit, and do not give up! They learned a lot this weekend, and we are ready to play up in the Ludington 12U tourney in a couple weeks!

Mr Moonshot Miller was at it again!

We didn’t have time to update between the semi final game and the championship game, because this guy hit a walk off 2 run homerun in extra innings!

We met up with the west side smash for the second time in as many days. We tied the day prior, and it came down to this in extra innings today! They’re a great group of boys as well!

So proud of the way this team fought today, to get here!

Onto the championship game, riding cloud 9!

PHEW! Another nail biter that the Bucks prevailed through!

Bats still asleep and one bad inning led to us trailing 5-1.

But in typical Bucks fashion we battled back to take a 6-5 lead after 4 innings, and added a few more in the bottom of 5 before the time limit was reached!

Bucks are onto the semi finals where we will face the Smash, the team we tied yesterday! Be ready to watch a battle of the bats!

Finished the day with a Mercy win! The bats came to life!

After a tough first game, the bucks played much cleaner baseball in game 2, giving up just 2 runs while scoring 12 through 4 innings!

Tomorrow is bracket play and we should be seeded well with a 1-0-1 record, 23 runs scored and just 13 runs against for a +10 run differential!

Go Bucks!

Ps- the boys lead us in prayer before each game, and it’s one of our favorite things about being a Buck! Glorify the father whether we win, lose, make an error, or a SC top 10 play!

The Bucks battled back in game 1!

Entering the bottom of final inning trailing 5 runs, after making uncharacteristic errors in inning 3. Cameron Miller hit a 2 run double with 2 outs tying the ball game! The. Proceeded to steal third and then took home a passed ball to tie the game!

The game ended in a tie per tournament rules and we play again in an hour!

We also have a team sister selling baked good!
