Whitley Horn, 8th grader at Scottsburg Middle School recently attended Playmaker College camp at Anderson University hosted by PGC (Point Guard College). There were 107 campers and only 22 girls. Whitley was put in a group with 8th-10th grade boys and a few highs school girls.
At PGC Basketball camps, the "Gold Standard" or "Gold Standard Band" is a highly coveted wristband awarded to campers who best demonstrate PGC's core values. Recipients display excellent energy, attitude, and leadership, specifically embracing the camp’s foundational teaching framework known as SCHAPE. (Spirit, Communication, Hustle, Approach, Precision, & Enhance).
There were only 9 Gold Standard Awards handed out, and Whitley earned one of the nine awards. We are so proud of Whitley and all of her hard work! Congratulations 💪🏀⛹️‍♀️💜
