Festival of Hope 2026

SBXC, you are invited to come celebrate and remember loved ones affected by cancer on Saturday June 20, 2026 at Grace Chapel!
Your support can help ease the burden of local families, friends and neighbors undergoing cancer treatment. See our website to sign up for the 5K, Children's Fun Runs, to purchase butterflies, and view other activities. Registration for the Run/Walk and to purchase butterflies are available online until June17th. You may also register and purchase butterflies on the morning of the Event. Online t-shirt sales are expected soon and will be posted on FOH Facebook and website.

SBXC finished their season shining bright! Natalee Bentley finished 29th with a time of 20:23 (PR on the hardest course). She wasn’t happy with her place but we are so proud how strong she was throughout the season. This was her last HS race and her leadership will be truly missed! So proud of you Natalee!

The boys team ended 11th, but that number does not reflect the successes these guys had not just yesterday but all season. Gavin Wemhoff finished with a top 10 medal and a PR of 16:22. wowza! Jacob Maser and Josiah Bruner PR’d yesterday and ran with their hearts! Not forgetting Gavin C, Eddie Griess, and Mason Middledorf who always give their best for their teammates and yesterday was not different. Jacob and Eddie, your leadership this season was contagious and you will leave big shoes to fill! Thank you to all the fans, parents, and friends that came to support these amazing young people.

Congratulations to Natalee Bentley for a third place finish at districts and her individual ticket to Kearney. Our girls team missed it by a few points but we had 3 PR’s on a windy day and they ran tough!!
Congratulations to our Boys XC team for a 3rd place finish and a ticket to State XC. Individual qualifiers, Gavin Wemhoff 5th, Jacob Maswr 6th, and Gavin Carrizales 15th. We had a few PR’s as well.
We are so proud of you all!

Wow, just like that and the JV XC season comes to a close. These kids worked so hard all summer and throughout the season and it showed in every race. So proud of all of you. Henry Winterbottom placed 5th and Mylin 6th today. This was the last high school race for a few and they will be missed next year. Harrison, TJ, and Ashton thank you for being you!!
