We would like to welcome Mr. Derrien Williams as the new head coach of our High School Boys Varsity basketball team.

Coach Williams, a native of Washington D.C., has over 15+ years of coaching experience in high school and college combined, most recently as an assistant coach at West Virginia State on the women's side.

As a coach, Williams has always prided himself on building meaningful relationships with players both on and off the court. His mission has always been to use the game of basketball and its many lessons to prepare students not only for professional success, but also for personal growth with meaningful lives which will impact their communities and beyond.

Williams looks to bring a fast-paced style of play similar to style played at WVSU which consistently ranked high in scoring and turnovers forced. But, most importantly, he looks to bring a culture centered in purpose, character and integrity.

One of his favorite scriptures is Psalms 90:14-17 which reminds us to fill our heart with God's love and how we should live with the time given, giving meaning to human work and valuing time.

Williams is a graduate of both WVSU (Undergraduate) and Marshall (Graduate School). He and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of their son: Drake and nephew Kyree.

We are looking forward to Mr. Snow’s Godly influence through our athletic program!

Welcome Mr. Grant Snow! 🦁

We are excited to announce that Mr. Grant Snow will be joining the Teays Valley Christian School family as our new Athletic Director and High School Health & PE Teacher.

Mr. Snow brings 15 years of multi-sport coaching experience, having worked with athletes from the little league level through collegiate athletics. In addition to his coaching background, he previously served as Athletic Coordinator at the Community College of Allegheny County-South, where he gained valuable experience in athletic leadership and program development.

Mr. Snow and his wife, Atalie, are the proud parents of four children: Adrian, Derick, Madassin, and Ayden. Together, they serve in youth leadership at The Pulse Winfield. Grant is also actively involved in his church’s worship ministry as a drummer and serves on the Welcome and Offering Team. His favorite Scripture is Matthew 7:21-23, and has a desire to faithfully follow Christ in every area of his life.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Snow to the TVCS family. We are grateful for the experience, leadership, and Christ-centered perspective he brings to our school community, and we look forward to seeing the impact he will have on our students both in the classroom and through athletics.

As we welcome Mr. Snow, we would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Jesse Lewis for his faithful service and dedication to TVCS. We are thankful for the time, energy, and care he invested in our students and athletic programs. We pray God’s blessings upon him and his family as they begin this next chapter and wish him great success in all of his future endeavors.
