OPPORTUNITY SHOULDN’T DEPEND ON WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD.

One of my biggest visions for the Scituate Community Ice Center is creating a place where opportunity isn’t reserved for the families who can afford the most ice time, private lessons, training, or programs.

Every kid has different interests, goals, and potential. I believe they should all have the opportunity to discover what they love and see how far they can take it.

That could mean hockey. Figure skating. Learning to skate. Fitness and wellness. Or simply finding a place where they feel like they belong.

The goal isn’t to make everything free. It’s to build a nonprofit model that can use scholarships, community partnerships, fundraising, and accessible programming to help remove financial barriers wherever possible.

Talent and passion can come from anywhere. Opportunity should too.

This is only the beginning.

I’m excited to continue introducing the vision behind the Scituate Community Ice Center - a nonprofit organization working to explore the development of a year-round ice and recreation facility built around access, opportunity, and community.

This project is still in its early stages, and there is a lot of work ahead. Right now, the goal is simple: start the conversation, listen to our community, and explore what could be possible for Scituate.

I grew up around hockey and have seen firsthand the opportunities it can create. My hope is to build something that goes far beyond the ice - a place for kids, families, athletes, and residents of all ages to play, learn, grow, and come together.

We want to hear from you. Follow along, share the project, and help us begin building the conversation around what this could become.

More than an ice rink. A community asset for generations to come!

The Scituate Community Ice Center is a Massachusetts nonprofit organization exploring the development of a year-round community ice center dedicated to skating, hockey, fitness, wellness, and community recreation.

Our vision is to create a welcoming community destination that serves residents of all ages through recreation, health, and wellness.
