Congratulations to 7th grader Makenna Ruvolo on her 3rd place finish and 9th grader Isabella Stamile on earning 4th place! We are so proud of the way you both stepped on the mat and competed.

Continuing to wrestle and grow even after the scholastic season ends shows true dedication. That extra work, those extra matches, and the willingness to challenge yourselves will pay off next season and beyond.

The future of girls wrestling is bright, and it’s athletes like you who are leading the way. Keep pushing, keep believing, and keep building. 💪🤼‍♀️

Congratulations to our girls who stepped on the mat and competed with heart and confidence today!

• Heidi Templar — 4th place
• Holly Templar — 5th place
• Olivia Dix — 6th place
• Rylynn Chilson — 3rd place

Competing in the same division, sisters; Heidi, Holly battled each other and other girls from our area. Olivia wrestled girls who were often bigger in size, but all of these ladies proved that heart, determination, and effort matter more than anything. They stepped up, competed tough, and showed how much they’ve grown this season.

Rylynn, competing in her first tournament season, wrestled with confidence and showed just how quickly hard work pays off.

To any girls thinking about trying wrestling — this sport is for you too. It builds strength, confidence, and friendships that last far beyond the season. And to our girls already on the mat: keep pushing, keep believing, and keep inspiring the next group to join you.

The future of girls wrestling here is just getting started. 💪

A special thank you to varsity wrestler Isabella Stamile, Jr high district IV second place Kaylee Kmetz for coming over and helping to coach and show these girls that the small school with a big heart shows up for each other!!

So a bittersweet time, our only senior, Mikyah Brown unlaced her shoes and took off her singlet for the last time for Sayre. She has grown so much over the last few years, starting out at 10th grade when many had started before her. She has helped the girls team since her start. Her drive, her persistent attitude will carry her so far in life! We wish you all of the best as you finish your senior year.

-Love, all Sayre girls and their fans!
