3 State Medalists 🤼‍♀️💛🤼‍♂️🖤💪

While the boys wrestled Friday and Saturday and the girls wrestled Sunday, the support of each other is truly special.

A long 3 days for our wrestlers, coaches, and wrestling families, but well worth it. We are extremely proud of all 20 of our state qualifiers as they wrestled in the toughest tournament in the state against the top four wrestlers of all 8 districts. They wrestled with everything they had. Win or lose they all learned something, they improved, they conquered.

Next up, the banquet! Then, only 7 months until wrestling season starts!

Most sports teach kids how to win.

Wrestling teaches kids how to lose.

And that might be the most important lesson of all.

Because wrestling kids lose…

In front of everyone.

No teammates to hide behind.

No excuses.

Just the scoreboard and the mat.

But something powerful happens when a kid keeps wrestling anyway.

They learn that losing doesn’t define them.

Quitting does.

And that lesson will follow them for the rest of their life.

Congratulations to Krayton Ellis and Drayven Shoemaker for medaling at the 2026 Missouri State Championship!

🥈 Krayton Ellis – 2nd Place - 12U 110 lbs
🥉 Drayven Shoemaker – 3rd Place - 8U 75 lbs

The Missouri State Tournament brought together 1,375 of the best wrestlers in the state — the top 4 from 8 districts across Missouri — and Savannah Youth Wrestling showed up! We are beyond proud of all the wrestlers that competed. Win or lose, everybody continues to put in the effort and continues to improve. Making it to state is a huge accomplishment!

Next up, girls wrestle tomorrow! Wish them luck!

The team will head to Springfield on Thursday. Boys will wrestle Friday and Saturday. Girls will wrestle Sunday.

🔥 Savannah Youth Wrestling District Results 🔥

We took 31 wrestlers to Districts this weekend and are bringing home 22 STATE QUALIFIERS! 💪

We are incredibly proud of every wrestler who stepped on the mat. The effort, toughness, and heart shown this weekend was awesome to watch. The future of Savannah Wrestling is STRONG!
