New Rider Alert!

We're super excited to announce the addition of father and son duo Tyler and Tyse Abfalter to team Phenom!

Hailing from St Augusta, both got into BMX just last year but biking is nothing new for these two!

Accomplished mountain biker, Tyler will be racing in the 36-40 Novice category and looking forward to competing with his son! With his skill and speed, watch for him to shave seconds off his lap times and class up to Intermediates this summer!

Tyse, a huge fan of Pizza and Hersheys Chocolate, (who isnt right?) will be competing in the 10 year old Novice group and needs only a couple wins to move up to Intermediate after notching 6 wins in his very first year on a BMX bike!

We look forward to watching both of these riders chase their dreams with team Phenom!

The 2025 national season wrapped up in Tulsa at the Race of Champions and the Grand nationals this past weekend. So proud of how the Phenom riders showed up on the biggest stage of the year!
Nearly every rider made it out of qualifiers with Haydn making Main in 15 intermediates. Unfortunately a tight first corner crash ended his ROC 1 dreams.

Grand Nationals 16 cruiser group saw our very own Carter Winter take down the World 1 in qualifiers! Amazing ride on a bike not often ridden this year! Mains were not to be had in the stacked group however.
Saturday was also good for Haydn racing 15 expert, Colin in 13 expert, Carter 16 expert and cruiser and Justin 36-40 inter all making it through to Sundays event!
A great tradition and close to the 2025 season!

Congratulations to father-son duo Josh and Maddox Schmidt for bring home the Gold! Racing hard all weekend in Aberdeen and taking a 4 and 2 in the final weekend, Maddox comes home with a gold 2 plate! Winning both finals, Josh also earned a 2 plate to display for the next year! Way to go riders!

Wow! What a MN State Series it’s been! 10 qualifiers, hundreds of laps , dozens of crashes along with age ups and class ups, all wrapping up at Rum River BMX over the weekend!

And what a weekend it was! Phenom riders taking home 12 plates to riders ranging from age 6-57!

Yes, there were dreams of smaller numbers and more plates by some but each and every rider should be proud of their accomplishments this year!

When Minnesota riders appear on moto sheets across the country, riders know it’s not going to be a boat ride! Know you’re among the best in the country, riders! Display those plates with pride! You’ve earned it.

The seasons not over. Keep reaching for your dreams!

Special thank you to the families hauling these riders across the state all summer and to our sponsors for keeping the wheels rolling! It doesn’t happen without you!

Great racing today at the MN State Series team finals! Aayla notched her 10th win today in the 5 and under novice group making her one of USA BMX’s newest Intermediates! Congratulations Aayla on that win and all the riders of team Phenom for an amazing 2025 state series! Individual finals tomorrow! Go get it!
