This season we wished one of our favorite coaches farewell and good luck. At his last international s***t practice, we gathered around a picnic table and snacked on fruits and veggies, celebrated Austin’s birthday, and said goodbye to a man who has taught the kids so much about shooting sports, but more importantly how to be a good human and do life well. He always has a smile on his face and a positive attitude. His own kids successfully shot for SCYST and then went on to Hillsdale College Shotgun Team. Even after his children moved to Michigan, Coach Corbin was there supporting the Sauk County Youth Shooting Team in snow, wind, rain, and sunshine. We cannot thank him enough for all he has done for the team. We miss him already but are excited for his new role as grandpa! Thank you, Coach Corbin!

As the season comes to a close and we celebrated yesterday at the club, we want to say thank you and congratulations to our lone senior, Austin Wildman. Austin is someone any of the kids could approach for help or conversation. He is wise beyond his years, has such a kind heart, and is a natural leader.

Earlier this year, Austin was awarded an SSSF (Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation) Scholarship of $500. The SSSF Scholarship Program awarded $500 scholarships to 166 student-athletes for 2026, providing a total of $83,000 in scholarship support. These scholarships recognize young athletes who have demonstrated dedication both on the range and in the classroom. Austin was one of those 166 in the US to receive this scholarship.

We want to take this moment to congratulate Austin and wish him well as he is off to college very soon! Hope to see you on the collegiate roster if your schedule allows! Do great things, Austin! Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Did you shoot your first 25-, 50-, 75-, or 100-straight this season? Bring a hat if so! It's tradition to have the team shoot your hat to celebrate an accomplishment. Let a coach know on Sunday and we'll make sure and have fun with it!

Context: This was the only video I could find. It was a USA Shoot in Tuscon, AZ, and Bennett had run his first 50-straight during an international s***t competition.

Congratulations, Briar Retzlaff. In the Rookie Category, Briar placed 1st at the National Championships this week in Ohio for Handicap Trap and 2nd for American Trap!!! Briar shot a 178/200 in Handicap trap and 185/200 in American Trap! Briar had three 25 straights!

Congratulations to Bennett Hiltbrand (S***t) and Hudson Hauden (Trap) on making the Scholastic Clay Target Program All-State Team.

The top 5 from each state form a team at nationals and compete with all of the other states! Good luck, Wisconsin!

Bennett and Hudson received SCTP All-State Jerseys this week at Nationals as part of their accomplishment!
