In fact, I challenge you to write it down and work on taking a step towards that dream! What are you dreaming about? Truth is, dreams that are placed in our hearts and minds are there for a reason! Sometimes we can’t even see how it could be possible, but believing in what seems to be impossible and continuing to work towards it is how dreams come alive. Don’t give up on that burning desire just because it doesn’t happen when you think it should... rarely do things really happen when we think they should.. am I right? 💕 I am drawn to people who work to live out their day dreams, and it has encouraged me to continue working on doing the same! 💫

Today was supposed to be the first day of our long delayed 10 year anniversary trip. In fact, we’ve now been married for over 11 years. Audrey was only 6 months old during our 10 year anniversary, so we decided to wait until we could leave the kids for more than a couple nights. Our 11 year came around and so did COVID, so we decided to wait until October. Our passports were delayed and a hurricane hit Cancun, so again we postponed to November. Turns out if you pay extra to rush your passport.. it actually takes double the time than if you ‘chance it’. Yep, Josh got his 4 weeks ago without a rush. I am still waiting on my 4-6 week expedited passport.. which i started back in August 🤦‍♀️ We are now hoping for an amazing 15 year anniversary trip at this rate 🤣 In the end, it’s all good, and Cancun will get the pleasure of seeing us in 2021!! 💕 P.S. this SUPER grainy ancient picture was from our honeymoon in Costa Rica when we were just babies! 💗

Whenever I can remember this, I have so much peace when faced with rejection and it pushes me forward knowing I’m getting closer to my dream! 💫

Tomorrow marks the birthday of one of my favorite humans and I got the privilege of celebrating with her early! She is not only someone that accepts me (faults and all) and encourages me to be my goofy, dorky self, she also has one of the biggest and most caring hearts of anyone I know. Anyone that knows her also knows that she will tell you things straight, she will be there in a instant if you need her, she works so hard for things she values in life and is always down to make silly videos or super random photoshoots.. in fact it’s not a complete visit without one! She will tell you that she has two girls, and that I was generous enough to birth them 🤣 Its been a wild ride with so many crazy years in the books, and I love that we continue to add pages! Love you Aly, have the best birthday yet! 💗 👑

Yesterday was ‘Layla Day’ at school! Love this idea so much!! Not sure if you can tell by this picture but she was so excited! 💕 She picked out her own outfit (way too early I might add🤪) and she couldn’t wait to show her class some of her favorite things that she put in this bag! I had to monitor what she ended up with.. as she had literally grabbed whatever she could find around the house to stuff in the bag (a sock, an old valentine card, a diaper 🤣) and off we went. What melts my heart is that this is totally her love language— feeling special, being center of attention and sharing some of her world with others! She said she got to even pick out the songs they sang in class, and was the leader in class (when they line up to go inside or outside!) She is such a special little girl and I’m so happy she was acknowledged as that in class! 💗

What makes you happy? Like brings you genuine joy, laughter and lights a fire inside you?? For me it’s getting a killer workout in, nourishing my body properly, having a productive workday, being around and working with inspiring & positive people, country music, taking a shower by myself without the kids🤪, wine tasting, girls nights, date nights with my hubby, making fun & creative videos, the bachelorette 🙈, snuggling with my littles, and watching them giggle & play together. These are just a few. But I notice, on days where I do not get in at least one of these things I really feel it. In fact, I feel completely out of balance, and well, the opposite of happy.

Recognizing what brings me joy and being intentional on creating space for these things to happen daily is essential for this lady to be happy mama! I know life is busy, but there will always be time if you make something a priority.. and your happiness should be, right?? So what is it for you? What are some things that give you life, and are you making time for them?
