Please join us in welcoming Evie Hamel to the Firecrackers family!
Evie joins the Firecrackers from the Glens Falls Titans and attends Glens Falls High School. A member of the Class of 2030, she earned a spot on the Glens Falls High School JV softball team as an eighth grader, demonstrating her ability to compete against older players well ahead of her peers. That early success reflects the talent, maturity, and work ethic she brings to our program.
Evie fills one of the biggest needs on our roster. She is a true left-handed leadoff hitter with the ability to both slap and drive the ball with authority, making her a dynamic threat every time she steps into the batter's box. Defensively, she will anchor center field, where her outstanding ball tracking, strong arm, athleticism, and fundamentally sound footwork allow her to cover a tremendous amount of ground.
From the moment we evaluated Evie, it was clear she was exactly the type of player we wanted to add to this team. She brings versatility, confidence, and a competitive mindset that align perfectly with the culture we continue to build. Her ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball makes her an exciting addition to an already talented roster.
Adding Evie fills two major needs for our team by strengthening both center field and the top of our lineup. We are incredibly grateful that Evie and her family have chosen to join the Firecrackers, and we cannot wait to watch her continue to develop while helping us compete at the highest level.
