Congratulations to our 5 new certified outrigger paddlers! This is such an important step in building confidence, safety, and independence on the water.

What a day for NBP Paddling at the Sarasota International Dragon Boat Festival! 🐉

Our crew was everywhere—competing in Senior Mixed, Premier Mixed, Senior B Women, and alongside the inspiring Breast Cancer paddlers, while also coaching, steering, drumming, and supporting 6 Dragon Boat League teams throughout the day.

From first strokes to final finishes, the energy, teamwork, and heart on display were incredible. We brought home plenty of shiny medals, shared countless laughs, and created memories that will stay with us long after race day.

Proud of every paddler, coach, drummer, steersperson, and supporter who made yesterday such a success. That’s what team spirit looks like. 💪🥇

There’s nothing like your first race.

Last weekend we had several new paddlers paddle up to the start line for the very first time—and they did it across two events.
Two raced at the Arizona Dragon Boat Festival in Tempe, and five took on the Inverness Dragon Boat Festival in Inverness.

Different locations. Same nerves. Same courage.

They showed up, trusted the process, and pushed themselves in a whole new way. That first race feeling is something you never forget—and these athletes earned every second of it.

This is how it starts.
