Brittany Bendel joins the 2027 Riverview Softball season as pitching coach bringing Division I pitching experience. Having pitched at the local high-school level, she received Florida All-State recognition, played four years in a Division I program, and recorded nearly 100 collegiate innings.

Bendel was a right-handed pitcher in high school and then at Colgate University. Her pitching résumé includes:

Florida high school: Helped the her team reach the 2015 Florida state championship game, along with district and regional championships. She was named All-Area Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-State. As a senior in 2016, she threw 127 innings with 14 complete games and 10 wins.

Travel ball: She pitched for the Sarasota Heat and was recruited to Colgate as a pitcher in the 2016 class.

Colgate: She appeared in 38 Division I games, including 8 starts, and threw 97.1 collegiate innings.

Her biggest collegiate pitching performance came against ACC opponent Syracuse. Bendel threw a complete-game 3–2 victory, allowing two runs over seven innings and striking out a career-high six.

Colgate’s coaching staff described her when recruited as a hard-throwing, down-ball pitcher who they expected to make an immediate impact.

Welcome back Brittany!
