After falling behind 0-2 in the first inning and struggling to get runners on base for most of the game, we got to our last at bat in the top of the 5th when Presley singled on a line drive to left field with 1 out and Jordyn reached 1st on a ground ball, with 2 outs and 2 runners on, Kenasyn comes up to bat and hits what SHOULD have been a game winning 3 run home run(bc we held them scoreless in the bottom of the 5th) BUT this ump was on some kind of power trip, said one of our girls “assisted” Kenasyn across the plate, so they called Kenasyn out. He blamed Brantlee ( #16) for it and you can clearly see in the video she did not “assist” her, she barely touched her arm!
*That call is supposed to be an appealed call by the opposing team, NOT by the umpire.
*We talked to the UIC after the game and he said it was a bad call AND it wasn’t the umpires call. We should have appealed it but we didn’t do it fast enough because everything was crazy and the ump wouldn’t explain anything for a hot minute and we didn’t have time to even THINK!
It was such a petty call!! We had parents AND players from the other team telling us it was BS too!! He robbed us from not only the win but robbed Kenasyn from what would have been one of her most memorable home runs!
