When Calvin was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer in November 2024, he and his wife were just beginning to plan their retirement — dreaming of seeing the world together. He passed in July 2025.

But his family refused to let the dream end there.

"Whenever myself or one of our loved ones travel, we take a Parting Stone with us and leave it in a place that we feel he would have loved to see. After leaving the stone, we take a photo to be added to an album to record all of his travels."

So far, Calvin has visited Greece, the Bahamas, and multiple places in Mexico. This stop was Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

"We want to thank you and everyone at Parting Stone for giving us the opportunity to honour him in this way — and giving us a way to still feel like he is joining us on our travels."
