Día de Mu***os is almost here, and this year we’re building an ofrenda together 🌼

For generations, families have set out photos, candles, and favorite foods to welcome their loved ones home. We’re honored to share in that tradition with a free digital ofrenda that has room for every person and pet you’re remembering, wherever your family lives.

Add their name and a favorite photo, and they’ll go up with a candle beside them. Add their favorite food too.

Once you’ve added someone, drop an emoji of their favorite food in the comments so we can welcome them too 🕯️

Every candle lights together on November 1.

Some advice we would give if nobody else were reading:
The plan you made in the first days of grief is not a contract.
You can change your mind about scattering. You can love someone deeply and still hate the urn. Your family can choose different ways to remember them. You can keep their ashes somewhere unexpected if that place feels like them.
And you do not have to decide today.

Gold stars for the quiet parts of grief no one applauds.
For asking what should happen to the ashes.
For keeping them safe when that was all you could manage.
For admitting you still do not know.
For changing a decision made during the hardest week of your life.
For making room for your family to remember the same person differently.
None of these things may feel brave while you are doing them. They are.
There is no perfect timeline and no single right answer for someone’s ashes. Families deserve the time, permission, and options to choose what feels right for them.
