Have you ever looked at the world and thought, “How did we get here?”

The anger.
The division.
The violence.
The constant pressure to pick a side and harden your heart.

Every headline feels heavier than the last.
Every conversation feels like it could explode.
Every day it seems like people are carrying more pain than peace.

What if the chaos we’re seeing isn’t just cultural… but personal?
What if the world is reflecting the very thing most of us avoid talking about?

The heart.

That question served as the starting point for writing “I Have A Heart Condition.” The book is a 30-day journey that helps us see what’s really going on beneath the surface, both in the world around us and inside each of us.

We need to talk.

The shooting and death of Charlie Kirk is a tragedy—and a symptom of something much deeper.

This isn’t just about politics.
Or social media.
Or even gun laws.

It’s about the human heart.

We’re infected with something more dangerous than division or disease:
👉 Unhealed anger.
👉 Unchecked hate.
👉 Unrepented sin.

And when anger fuels hate, hate fuels murder.

We are not okay.

We are in the middle of a global pandemic—not just of the body, but of the soul.
We have a spiritual crisis.
We have a compassion crisis.
We have a heart condition.

The prophet Jeremiah said:

“The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can understand it?” — Jeremiah 17:9

This isn’t about left or right.
This is about life or death.

Jesus—our Physician and Healer—is the only one who can perform the surgery our world so desperately needs.

- If you believe only Jesus can heal it…

35 years ago, God brought Lisa and me together, and every year since has been a testimony of His grace.

I’ve Been Pastoring for Over 30 Years — I Just Didn’t Know It

When I was younger, I believed my calling was to be a pastor.
I went to Bible college. I studied theology. I imagined standing in a pulpit.

But my dad once told me:

“Sometimes the church can’t pay you. You’ll need something to fall back on.”

So I did what I thought I had to do—
I worked. I hustled. I started businesses. I sold solar. I provided.

And for years, I wondered if I had missed my calling.

But here’s what I’ve finally come to realize…

I’ve been pastoring all along.
Not in a pulpit.
But in conversations.
In coaching sessions.
In parenting moments.
In helping others hear the voice of God over the noise of the world.

That’s a pastor’s heart.

For 30+ years, I’ve been listening, guiding, comforting, and calling people forward in their purpose.

So today, I’m not stepping into something new.
I’m finally owning what’s always been there.

This is what I was made for:
🧡 Helping people heal their hearts
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Equipping families to thrive
🧭 Guiding leaders to live with purpose

I’m not confused.
I’m not scattered.
