Last week, we celebrated the 19 student-athletes who officially signed to continue their academic and athletic journeys at the next level. Their commitment, discipline, and love for their sport have led them to this moment and we could not be more proud.

With last week's signees, the Class of 2026 now totals 81 student-athletes advancing to 56 colleges and universities across the country.

Thank you to Uni USA, the Official Sponsor of all four College Commitment Day events this year, for supporting our Monarchs on their journey to the next level.

Sharing Passion. Sharing Culture

Students from Mater Dei High School recently journeyed to Saints Simon & Jude Catholic School, one of our valued feeder schools, to share their passion for Polynesian culture with second graders who have spent months learning about cultures from around the world.

Through this special visit, learning came to life. The boys taught the Haka, while the girls guided students in the sāsā. What began as a classroom lesson became a meaningful cultural exchange rooted in tradition and connection.

This is just one of the many cultures that make the Mater Dei community so incredible. We celebrate the rich diversity of our students and the traditions they proudly share, helping us grow in understanding and appreciation for one another — all infused with Honor, Glory, and Love.

A huge Super Saturday for the Monarchs as four of our winter sports teams compete in the CIF SoCal Regional Division 1 Finals on March 7.

Living the Aloha Spirit: Mater Dei Surf Team

The Mater Dei Surf Team brings Monarch pride to the coast, building a tradition grounded in community and the aloha spirit. Through early mornings, shared experiences, and lasting friendships, these Monarch wave riders carry lessons from the water into the heart of campus life.

Earlier this month, we celebrated our third College Commitment Day of the school year, proudly presented by Uni USA, as 14 student-athletes from seven sports officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

We commend our signees for their dedication and hard work, and we thank the parents, coaches, and fans who supported them every step of the way.
