The series is tied 1-1 after the Cavaliers took Game 1 with a 7-3 win and the Patriots answered back with a 12-2 victory in Game 2. Now, one final game will decide who advances to the NCHSAA 6A State Championship.

Big week ahead for the Cavs as they take on the Patriots of Southern Alamance in the Regional Finals! Game 1 is tomorrow at Cavalier Field, first pitch at 7:00!

What a finish at Southern Lee High School on Friday night! ⚾🔥

The Southern Lee Varsity Cavaliers battled until the very end and walked it off in dramatic fashion with a 5-4 victory over the Terry Sanford Bulldogs in Round 4 of the NCHSAA 6A East Playoffs.

Trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Cavaliers refused to quit. Sercy delivered a clutch triple to score two runs and tie the game before Shaffer came through with the game-winning single to seal the walk-off win for Southern Lee!

Sercy had a huge night at the plate, collecting three hits, including the game-changing triple in the seventh inning. Harrington and Brown also recorded multiple hits as the Cavaliers totaled nine hits on the night.

On the mound, Bryant earned the win in relief after Cox delivered a strong start for Southern Lee. Defensively, the Cavaliers also turned two double plays to help secure the victory.

With the win, Southern Lee improves to 27-3 on the season! The Cavs now advance to the Regional Round for a best-of-three series this week against Southern Alamance.

Last night the Cavaliers fought back after being down 4-2 headed into the bottom of the 7th. A Max Andrew Sercy triple scored Sam Taylor and Drew Patton to tie it up and after 2 intentional walks Gavin Shaffer delivered the game winning single! An exciting game to the end!

⚾️ PLAYOFF BOUND — ROUND 4 ⚾️

The Southern Lee Cavaliers are moving on! 🔥

Southern Lee edged Jacksonville 2-1 Tuesday night in a thrilling state playoff battle, extending the Cavaliers’ winning streak to 17 games and improving to 26-3 on the season.

Sophomore ace Ben Harrington was dominant on the mound, striking out 10 while allowing just two hits in a complete-game performance. Luke Waters led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 night, including an RBI double, while also shining defensively with 10 fielding chances and no errors by the Cavaliers.

After Jacksonville tied the game in the sixth inning, Southern Lee answered immediately with the go-ahead run on a passed ball to secure the victory.

The Cavs kept their playoff run rolling last night with a win over the Cardinals, led by a dominant performance on the mound from sophomore Ben Harrington. Harrington allowed just 2 hits while striking out 10. Junior Luke Waters stayed hot at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

The No. 2-ranked Southern Lee High School Cavaliers are advancing in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 6A East State Playoffs after a dominant 10-0 shutout victory over South Johnston High School!
