Threw a reverse tomahawk for the bird from just before top of hill on hole 1..,it skipped off the ground just before the blue pin & in! Yes, it’s just a birdie, but having it skip & go in with a scoobie approach throw was probably my most memorable throw ever. Witnessed by me, myself & I. 😉

Shout out to my fellow 1000 rated volunteers Steve Purcell & Jim Barry for helping to clear the overgrowth on a few holes that sorely needed it.

Still a few priority holes left in need of mowing/ trimming (14, 17 & 18 are severely overgrown & it’s impacting playability) so anyone who can help chip away at no matter how much or how little it is greatly appreciated! ⛓️🙏⛓️

Got just under half of hole 9 mowed & trimmed. If anyone has a mower & has time to help mow hole 8, it really needs it. I’m available any day this week after 4 pm. DM me or post here & let’s get holes 8 & 9 done before the forest reclaims them

Mowed & trimmed hole 12 today…she’s a beaut Clark!

Huge thank you to my gf Lisa for helping out. She’s just learning to play disc too …which of course makes me the luckiest guy on Earth 😁

Still many more holes in need of maintenance…mostly mowing on the par 4s. With more help, we can turn 4 hour workdays into 2 hours…or less! Think of the possibilities!

FYI …Oakcrest Cove Facility holiday parking access & hours (July 3rd & 4th). You can still park nearby at the Senior Center anytime to access the course (no fee)

Just a reminder, there’s plenty of free parking nearby the course if you don’t want to pay the $20 parking fee for the main lot during the beach sticker season. The fee season goes from mid June to Labor Day each year.

It’s greenbriar revenge season & Oakcrest needs some mowing! Holes 8, 9, 12, 14 & 18 are the priorities. I’m planning to start this Friday with my mower…. if anyone has a mower or brush trimmer/weed whacker & can help, it’s greatly needed & appreciated!! Many hands make for light work.
