Had a wonderful day with Steve, Eric & Dave on a family outing. Cleaned 79 White Bass. Fished 4 hours nonstop bite and left them biting. My son Steve did an awesome job cleaning them.

Had a wonderful day yesterday (1/4/26) with guide Brice Pope, Fish On Guide Service. With Steve Wilson, Travis Wilkerson and future Pro Fisherman Sloan Wilkerson. Started out at 39 degrees but warmed up a bit later on. We found fish in 30+ feet of water and Brice put us on them all day. We kept 46 Blue Cats and filled 7 1-gal bags of filets. Largest fish was 24-lbs which was released to fight another day. The 10 “Custom Rods By Richard” did a perfect job. Hats off to Fish on Guide Service (918) 724-6786 for a job well done.

Oh’ The things we think about when we are idol. “Thread colors can be elusive.”
This is an example on nylon thread. Same thread with one coat of thread finish. The lighter one has been treated with color preserver but is still a bit darker thus the bare thread. When I am designing a rod pattern, I sometimes will sample wrap several colors this way so I have a better idea of the end result.

The most frequent Rod Repair is for guide or tip top replacements. Many don’t realize repairs can also be done tu repair or replace the grip or reel seat, or an actual broken rod. Please pm or email me to [email protected].
