It’s Wednesday, which means that my daughter is spending the night at her grandparents. And I had a chance to stop by a local speciality book store that specializes in rare and used books, but also spiritual, deeply thought provoking literature, and thats where I found this book. I went in without the intention of purchasing anything. I was just trying to kill some time while my husband waited for a Pokémon drop. But something about the cover and the title captured me.

I flipped to a random page, read one sentence, flipped to another random page, read one sentence, and knew I need this book. I don’t know why, but I didn’t.

The price point was $34. I’m sure I could’ve gotten a cheaper copy at Amazon, but I trusted this book shop. If the price is $34, there must be a special reason, and if I’m honest… my husband and I had been taking shots in our car so I was in no position to question fate.

Now here I am, back at home, sobering up, and closing with a nice romantic moment to myself. I miss my daughter dearly, but if you can take an evening to reconnect with your partner, and spare a little time doing something you love, take advantage.

I don’t know what’s in store for me with this book, but I’m excited for the world I’m about to step into.

Momma… I know how hard it can be to ask for help.�Maybe you worry you’ll feel like a burden.�Maybe you think needing support means you’re weak or not doing enough.�Maybe it feels like you “should” be able to do it all on your own.

But you’re not supposed to.�We’re not meant to raise babies alone — or even just with our partners.�We’re meant to raise babies in community.

So if your friend wants to help you fold laundry, show them how you like it folded.�If your aunt offers to do the dishes, let her.�If you’re too tired to cook, ask someone to bring food when they visit.
Because asking for help doesn’t just support you.
�It gives your child more people to love and be loved by.�It deepens the bond between your baby and the people who care about them.�And it builds more trust, closeness, and connection between you and the ones who want to show up for you.

So, give yourself the permission to release the pressure you put on yourself.

The people who love you want to support you. Let them.�So you can give your best to your little one(s). ❤️

Keeping the peace could be the reason why your relationship doesn’t have it.

Because you don’t feel comfortable being direct about how you really feel,

You look for “quieter” ways to get what you want, only to feel disappointed when it doesn’t work.

A client of mine danced around a particular issue in her relationship for over a month, and it was creating lots of other issues that strained the relationship.

When we got crystal clear on what she needed to feel loved, honored, and just... GOOD in a relationship,

What do you do when someone doesn’t believe in you?

In this post I went into how to handle the situation with your spouse.

Now, I’m going into the inner work cause you’re going to need it.

When we’re embarking on something this big, the first thing we want is for people to encourage us and cheer us on.

But to our disappointment, we often run into the opposite, and it can be really discouraging.

So, what do we do?

First is realize that the people who you’re seeking approval from probably have never started a business, or seen the success you’re planning to achieve.

They can only speak to what they know, what they believe is possible, and their own fears.

If you spoke with someone who unapologetically lives their purpose, and has built a successful business from the ground up,

You’re probably going to have a very different response.

Second is to ask yourself, what part of me is looking for their approval because I’m actually afraid that I can’t do it?

When we carry doubt in ourselves, we look to others to tell us whether or notwe’re on the right path.

You’re taking the road less traveled by. You’re doing what most people think is CRAZY.

Believing in yourself, believing that what you’re doing matters, believing that impossible things happen one step at a time, and OWNING it

How do little things turn into huge arguments?

Why does it seem like even when you agree, you’re still fighting?

Why is it so hard to see eye to eye?

What we often think is the problem actually isn’t.

It’s not that your spouse keeps leaving dirty dishes around no matter how often you tell them to put it away.

It’s not how they leave their clothes strewn about and you have to pick up after them.

It’s the way you’re connecting.

It’s the way you show up for each other in these micro moments of your relationship.

I like to wait until the end of the day to wash dishes, but my husband likes to handle it right away because it feels cleaner.

I used to resist this, but when I started to pay attention and noticed how happy and stress-free he becomes when the sink is clear, I started to do it.

And I’m so surprised at how something so simple made such a huge difference on not only how he feels,

But also how I feel.

Now we both make the effort to make sure the whole kitchen is clean throughout the day because it helps us feel lighter and more focused on reaching our goals.
