Paragon BJJ San Luis Obispo/Atascadero We provide classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing for ages 4 and up. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on grappling and ground fighting techniques.

The purpose is to control and subdue a larger opponent through the use of superior techniques and body leverage. The emphasis of grappling rather than striking allows students to practice with varying levels of intensity, minimizing the threat of serious injury which is more common in striking martial arts. Beginning, intermediate and advanced levels welcome. We have two 4,000 sf academies located

in San Luis Obispo and and north Templeton and provide competitive and non-competitive classes, group or private classes, self-defense, and women's classes. We provide highly technical instruction in a clean, safe, family friendly environment.

We’ll be leading a Self-Defense Class at their **Laurel Lane** location and can’t wait to see some new faces while sharing valuable, practical skills with the community.

⚠️ Please RSVP through the Spark app or website — **Paragon will not be handling sign-ups for this event.**

**What we’ll cover:**
• Wrist releases
• Bear hug defense
• Wall work
• Basic groundwork

If you’re not comfortable physically interacting with someone you don’t know, we strongly recommend bringing a partner you feel comfortable training with.

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring water. Something with sleeves is preferred since shoulders will be against the wall during part of class.

Credits are non-refundable.

We had so much fun at our last Women's Intro to BJJ class we are doing it again! Very beginner friendly, come learn something new and make some new friends.

(We will not be covering self defense at this class and will be spending more time on basic BJJ moves. BUT if you are looking for a self defense class stay tuned for a workshop we will be announcing soon)
