Elena Panova, Aerial Coach
Elena Panova is a world-renowned award-winning aerialist who is credited with re-inventing the art of Swinging Trapeze in the late 1980s (www.circopedia.org/Elena_Panova). After a brilliant international career that spanned over twenty years and five continents, she retired from performing and turned to teaching aerial arts at San Francisco’s Circus Center (www.circuscenter.org), where she is the Aerial Department Director. She teaches amateurs and professionals and adults and kids in swinging trapeze, static trapeze, single-point trapeze, aerial hoop, aerial conditioning, etc.
Elena is also a fully-trained Pilates instructor. She teaches Pilates to aerialists and acrobats at Circus Center (“Core Conditioning”) as well as to clients out of the circus sphere. Her long experience as a physical performer informs greatly the way she teaches Pilates to a vast spectrum of students.
