Here are more of my recent results! Zonulin is a marker of leaky gut. It’s a protein that regulates the opening and closing of the gut lining. When this marker is high it would indicate that the gut lining is open, weak, and vulnerable to unwanted particles into the blood stream. My level is slightly elevated. I want it below 7.5 and it is at 9.1. I have work to do there. Histamine is molecule in the gut that helps regulate the immune response within the gut as well as other areas of the body. When we have a lot of “battles” going on in the gut we may see it elevated. If we see a depletion of histamine we may have a clue towards a suppressed, exhausted immune system. Mine was luckily in the normal range(for now). DAO is an enzyme in your body that helps break down and regulate histamine. Like checks and balances. My DAO came back low. This also makes it obvious that my histamine:DAO ratio is off. Even though my histamine was “normal” I do not have enough DAO to create balance within my gut. This can cause inflammation and an overreactive immune system. This can lead to many digestive issues, a taxed immune system, skin issues, other inflammatory issues, and other imbalances within the gut. This can all be balanced out with the help of dietary choices, supplements, lifestyle choices, and other hidden clues from my other labs. 👍🏼

Your doctors lab ranges of “normal” are not accurate. Sometimes even the test itself is not accurate. They only test you to see if your life is in immediate danger, not to see if you are healthy or slowly dying. And a lot of times if they find a lab out of range their interpretation of that lab is not accurate. They tend to try and treat the lab result, not the root causes of the problem that caused that lab test to go out of range in the first place.

More of my lab results. Indican, urinary bile acids, and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG). Indican measures how bacteria helps metabolize protein in the small intestine, specifically tryptophan. This can point to issues like high protein fermentation, poor protein metabolism/breakdown, or even SIBO. As you saw in my viome test from 5 years ago, I had high protein fermentation and poor protein breakdown in my gut. This is something i have been working on in the past 4 years so it’s good to see this number is ok for right now. Even though I obviously still have bacterial overgrowth issues. Urinary bile acids are usually shows if we are having a spill over of bile acids into the kidneys due to sluggish liver, over burdened liver, galbladder issues, etc. I have had poor liver markers in the past(haven’t posted them yet) so this was promising to see that all my work on my liver and bile flow the past two years have possibly been working. 8-OHdG looks at cellular stress, DNA damage, and oxidative damage. As you saw on my viome test results I struggled with all my cellular and mitochondrial health scores. It’s good to see that my results look decent thus far. I do credit some of this cellular health progress to regularly taking methylene blue. As well as better sleeping habits these past 3 years and switching everything to all natural products. Remember, all these results do not mean you’re in the clear. You have to take clues and connections from ALL of your bloodwork, clues from your lifestyle, and clues from your symptoms to make educated assumptions of what is really struggling inside your body.

Here are my GI Map stool test results. I’ll explain what we found and which symptoms I had been experienced that may be linked to these findings. 1. Helicobacter Pylori is a bacteria that when overgrown can cause a lot of issues long term. Symptoms that I have experienced that may be linked to h pylori are bloating, loss of appetite, acid reflux, unintentional weight loss, and dark colored stools. I also had a virulence factor that makes it dig itself deeper into the gut lining. It also had 3 antibiotic resistant genes that’ll make it nearly impossible to treat with traditional antibiotics. Long term it can result in stomach ulcers, tumors, and cancer. 2. Giardia is a small parasitic germ that can live in the gut. The symptoms I experienced that may correlate are fatigue, malaise, weight loss, loss of appetite, gas, and bloating. Long term it can really compromise the immune system and cause worsening GI symptoms. 3. Citrobacter spp. is a bacteria when overgrown can cause a lot of sumptoms. The only symptom that might correlate was stronger smelling urine. Long term it can make me prone to bacteria infections and compromise my immune system. 4. Methanobacteriaceae is a archaea that when overgrowth can cause excess methane gas production. The symptoms I had that may correlate are bloating and gas. Long term this can lead to leaky gut and IBS. 5. Elastase-1 is an enzyme in the pancreas that helps break down food. This shows that I am not breaking down food as well as I could be. Symptoms that I had that may correlate are bloating, gas, and weight loss. Long term this can lead to malnutrition and digestive issues. All these tests are great to know because I can monitor my symptoms and overall well being as I balance out the environment of my gut. This will empower me to continue to achieve my long term goals of feeling good, strengthening my body, and extending longevity. I’ll go into detail about all the other measurements on this test another day. I’ll be able to run this test on future clients once I graduate.👌🏼🤘🏼

Here are the rest of my Viome test results. These ones are all measuring different aspects of the microbiome. These were 5 years ago but definitely show some evidence of some of the gut test results I got recently. Although the Viome test gives some great feedback, most of the test results are not specific enough to go in and fix any of the imbalances in the gut. The cellular test results I posted previously I do believe are more useful. I believe I got the Viome test for around $300 so it’s still a good price. But eventually you’ll have to get more specific testing to see what is actually going on within your body.
