Aloha awakea kākou,

Nā Koa Kai Canoe Club, which hosts the San Diego Shaka Fest, has unanimously decided to cancel the 2020 San Diego Shaka Fest because of the recent concerns with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) global pandemic. We regret taking this action but our greatest concern above all others is your safety and wellbeing. This decision was based on current events and information available at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

We would like to thank and express our deepest gratitude to all of our sponsors, vendors, SUP, Hawaiian Canoe regatta participants, Hula Hālau, Tahitian Dance groups, and the general public who had planned on participating this year.

We look forward to your support at our 2021 San Diego Shaka Fest. We will be starting the planning process for our 2021 San Diego Shaka Fest in the next couple of months.

Mahalo nui loa!

Aloha – Nā Koa Kai Canoe Club
