Been almost 2 years since I've updated this page on behalf of Tennis League S.D. Our philosophical position hasn't changed since the Oct. '21 post, so don't look for us to go all FB again any time soon. However, here's the latest with our League. We are alive and thriving, and in our 33rd consecutive year. We still are providing the best platform ever for local tennis players to meet and play others in their skill range. Other leagues have come and gone - ranging from funky local, to slick national ones - with one thing in common. They all validate the fact that it's difficult, and takes a very long time to establish a viable singles, flex tennis league. Maybe anywhere?! It's taken us a while as well. (Note: The USTA continues to do local doubles leagues, mainly thru tennis clubs, very well. However, their "flex" singles leagues have consistently flopped over the years.) The dilemma is that not all players play, or play much, in a "flex" league format. The only answer to that is to have a lot of players. Our league consistently does, averaging 35-60 players per division, and 500 matches played each 3 month season. Our goal: You should be able to find a partner to play almost any day or time you want to. We don't hit that mark perfectly, but we hit closer to it than anything else out there. By a long shot. If you are looking to play more tennis, check us out. Summer Season starts July 7th - October 5th.
