And here our journey ends folks for BattleBots Proleague 2026 and Team Cobalt! Finishing up we went 2-1 with our only loss against the Twins in our group. This loss would send us to the wildcard grouping which comprised of 4 bots from our weekend. We were voted on by our peers of who would move on and we fell a little short of getting the votes needed. We can't thank our team enough for working so hard on Cobalt to get them into the Battlebox each and every time, looking show ready and putting on from what we would say some of the most entertaining fights of the season so far. Thank you first and foremost to John Mladenik for entrusting Cobalt to a new team captain Matt Olson and all the trust in piloting, managing, and keeping Cobalt maintained from event to event. Thank you to Derek Tran Cobalts Co-Captain for all his insight, bot knowledge, and expert weapon control in each and every match. Thank you to Brandon Upshaw of MIP for all his help machining before, and during the event making one off parts for Cobalt possible. Thank you to Andrew Burghgraef for all his help wrenching, being a helpful strategist, a sounding board for everything BattleBots, and being an amazing friend. Thank you to Mark Demers of Team Lucky - BattleBots by TKO Robotics for coming on and being such an asset from strategy, insight, and setup. SPOILER!!! If you havent watched the new Episode on BattleBots Youtube, do it now!

We made it through round three with a winning record! Cobalt did amazing against Jackpot and won the rematch even with 2.5 wheels (we know this aint the combo on this surface). Cobalt showed an immense amount of durability, power, and being able to still perform under less then premier conditions being handycapped by sup par wheels and traction. If we move on this will have to be remedied as the next groupings will be even tougher! ... Thank you everyone for rooting us on and Team Cobalt! Wonder if we make it through? YOU GUYS READY FOR THIS!!!!? One of the most intense battle of the season. Cobalt needs this to stay in the fight for BattleBots Proleague finals and JackPot-Battlebots doesn't want to go 0-3 for the season! Last time we faced each other Jackpot got us! After our fight with Copperhead BattleBot our tooth on our main terminator weapon was a bit chipped. In order to repair the tooth we had to have the BattleBots house welder Kelly do something called hard facing to build the material back up. The turn around time is quite tight so the weapon had to be pulled from Cobalt after the fight and over to the Welding bay it went. After the weapon cooled overnight straight to the mill it went and a new tooth was machined like nothing had happened compliments of our in house machinist Brandon Upshaw and Mark Demers was giving some helpful tips and shenanigan bunny ears as well. We would be going into the match with a fresh disk. Cobalt will be fresh and show ready for the JackPot-Battlebots fight we promise.

The rematch we have had to wait for since the last World Championships. Cobalt is currently 1-1 for this season but 0 and 1 vs JackPot-Battlebots (they beat us at the last WC). This match in round 3 of Pro League could save our season, so everything is on the line. Can we redeem ourselves against this very powerful machine or will our Proleague season go down 1-2 and push us out of the Championships for good? If you do the math we still have a shot if the Twins lose to Copperhead BattleBot and we win against Jackpot. That would be a 2-1 record for each of the top teams in our bracket. We can't tell you how it goes but we will say its another one of the best matches you will see this season. We both put everything on the line for the fans and for that Giant Bolt!

Like the Mona Lisa when shes going back together. Though we wrench for months before, hours inbetween, and only in the match for 3 minutes or less. Its crazy time, money, but the experience is unlike anything else with friends and family all tied into it. What people may not understand is after a fight like we had against Copperhead BattleBot, everything must be stripped, inspected, refreshed, repaired, replaced, and repainted. Cobalt will be fresh and show ready for JackPot-Battlebots, but not before she goes under the knife and gone through with a fine tooth comb. We will have traction for round 3 we promise. Onto the next fight we are 1-1 can we go 2-1 and have a chance at saving our season or go 1-2 and be out for good!? This is a rematch for us against Jackpot on BB, but we have a new driver and setup from last time, will that change our outcome or is Jackpot too much for us to handle? What a Round 2 opening for Cobalt! We were able to take the win over the ultra durable Copperhead BattleBot. Going into this fight we changed over to the Dave Moulds front forks. This change was amazing for both driving, purchase on our opponent and they were ultra durable taking some hard hits from copperhead... We were able to get a great shelf hit later in the match that we believe pushed the decision or way. Hats off to the Copperhead team and great job! .... For those watching you will notice Cobalt was a bit loose out there. This was not by design 😐... The new front end was new for Matt driving so we took a bit more time in the test box with fresh wheels. We had used this style wheel in Abu Dhabi and they wore awesome going several matches so we didnt account for the extra wear we would see getting at BattleBots. Well Battlebots puts a ruff liner style coating on their floor almost making it like sand paper to wheels... After the test box we saw the wheels and deemed they would be fine thinking we had at least one match worth of tire tread left, we would be wrong. Almost immediately in the match Cobalt was on Ice we had inadvertently engaged Cobalts new drift mode. For basically the entire match Cobalt was on rims lacking any substantial grip. We are excited to pull off the win and moving forward we will have on either brand new tires or we arnt taking a ton of time whipping around in the test box! What can we say we were excited to try the new to us front end! Now onto Jackpot! We are 1 and 1 can we save our season!? Thank you for tuning in and cheering us on. - Team Cobalt

We for one always want to see a good battle not something one sided or finished in 10 seconds. We both get our licks in but who will stand atop the Battlebots mountain victorious!?
